Chapter 1

A small girl rushed out of her bedroom doors with a smile on her face. She didn't bother change into a new set of clothes as she was too excited she forgot she was still in her nightgown. She ran down the halls with her long, jet black hair flying in the breeze, She was soo excited for today.
She stopped at a bedroom door with green and gold embroided details on its wood, with golden handles that shimmered in the sun.

She knocked 3 times and waited for a response. "who is it?" a boy's small voice was heard from the other side of the door, clearly the boy just woke up and was still sleepy from the tone of his voice. "Its me, Jade!" The girl answered back, her excitement was visible in her tone. "Come in" said from the other side. The girl opened the big wooden doors and revealed a boy in his bed covered with large pillows and a huge blanket.

Jade approached the boy and shook him awake. "Lokiiiiii, Lokiiiiiii wake upppppp" Said Jade in her small voice. The boy opened one eye and stared back at Jade's ocean like emerald eyes. "you seem quite happy, Jheyden. What's the occasion?" Loki said and finally opened both eyes and sat up. "Did you seriously forget?? jeez Loki" Jade said and sat at the foot of the bed. She then attacked Loki with hugs and tickles which made the boy smile. "Happy Birthday, Loki!" She exclaimed and started jumping on the bed.

"Oh? is that today? I nearly forgot! Thank you, Jheyden!" Loki said and hugged the girl and burried her in his chest. The girl tried to escape but it was no use, Loki was strong. "Heyyy you're crushing meeee" Jade said and successfully escaped Loki's hug. She stood up firm and walked towards the door, "Well, See you later!!" She said "See you later, Jheyden" Said Loki. "Hey, How many times do I have to tell you that you should just use the name Jade" The girl said pouting which made the boy chuckle. "I prefer Jheyden more than Jade, It's more fancier" He said and she left the room.

Jheyden, only loki calls me by my real name. It now has a special meaning in my heart.

The 9 year old thought to herself as she walked back to her room to change, Breakfast will soon be ready and a hell of a day is coming again for them. Training.

Loki's POV

Just as Jade left, I transformer back into my miserable form. Eyes swollen from crying, Hair like a bird's nest and pale skin.
But I felt happy. I have been awake since dawn thinking if someone would actually remember, I cried the whole time thinking why would they remember when im just like nothing to them. Ever since Jade came, I've been less sad.

I fixed myself up and went to the dinning hall for breakfast. As I got there, Jade was waiting for me by the doorframe. "Loki!" She ran up to me, took my hand and ran to the dinning hall. "Ahh Loki dear, you've arrived." My mother said as I sat at my seat and nodded. "Happy Birthday" She said. I looked up to her with happiness in my eyes, I smiled at her widely and spoke. "You remembered." I said with happiness, "Ofcourse I did, Im sorry I forgot last year" She said and started eating. We started eating when my Father and Thor came into the room. "good morning All father! good morning Thor!" Jade said and smiled. Father smiled back at her and sat at his seat, Same with Thor.

"Greetings, my son" Father said and looked at me, I felt as if every sadness within me has been lifted. I smiled brightly and said "Thank you father" with a smile. "Happy Birthday brother! You've aged but you still look so small" Thor said, while munching on his breakfast. "Thank you, Brother" I said and smiled. The day is going well, nothing like I expected.

Jade's POV
After I got ready, I rushed towards the dinning hall where I knew Frigga would already be at. I was still really happy today, I can't wait to give Loki the gift i've been making for him for so long! "Ahh Jade, you seem to be in a cheerful mood, Care to share?" Frigga said when she saw me enter the hall. "Nothing really, Im just really excited for Loki to see my gift for him!" I said and jumped up and down. "A gift? what's the occasion?" She asked. I stopped jumping and eyed her with curious eyes. "Its his birthday today, Queen Frigga did you forget Loki's Birthday?" I asked with curiosity.

"Oh dear! is that today? Pardon me i've been thinking about alot lately that I forgot" She said in a worried tone. "I better inform Odin
and Thor!" She said and ran off. My excitement dropped when I realized that his own family forgot this day. I waited for him at the door frame ready to make this day special for Loki.

Loki's POV

After breakfast, Training was next. But Before that, Jade dragged me towards her room and told me that she had a gift for me.  I was excited, Very excited to be honest. She stepped out of her room with a notebook in hand. "Here, i've been making this since your last birthday when I didn't know yet. I felt quite guilty that I didn't know so I promised myself I'd give you a gift you'll never forget" She handed me the notebook and I observed it. On the front page its said "For my dearest Loki" embroided with gold ink written in a beautiful hand writing. The first page shown a sketch of me reading a book, It was filled with poems about me, Small thoughts, Sketches of me and messages from Jade. The back cover had a writing that said "From your one and only, Jheyden Khriztinn" Also written in gold ink and in her hand writting. "its not much, but I made it myself. Stitched the leather cover attatched the pages, even wrote the cover myself. I hope you like it" She said and smiled. "Jheyden, This is wonderful! No one has ever made something like this for me before, Thank you so much! I love it" I said and pulled her for a hug. "Well, we better head to the fields now" she said and laughed as we ran towards the field for training.

This is the best birthday I've ever had.
