"

Diane, get up!" Anna called.

Huh it's Saturday. Why so early? I sat at the side of my bed until I heard the call.

"Diane!" Anna called again.

I got up and put on my slippers. I saw my mom standing at the door.

"What's up?" I asked.

Then I saw him.

Lincoln was at my door. That was odd. How did he know where I lived? I never told him.

"Lincoln, what a surprise." I said crossing my arms.

"I know but I just had to stop by." Lincoln said.

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road

Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go

So make the best of this test, and don't ask why

It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time

That sentence filled me with anxiety. Was something wrong? I wasn't even concerned about how he knew my address at the point.

"Is everything okay?" I asked.

It sounded like a movie when I said that. An emotional movie. I can't believe I was concerned for my bully.

"I just came over here to give you Sammy's phone number." Lincoln said.

"You just couldn't wait to give it in school?" I asked.

"Diane! That's no way to treat your friend!" My mom exclaimed.

Friend? I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Lincoln was my bully. At least, we were cool now...but that didn't excuse what my mom thought.

Lincoln smiled. Oh how I wanted to swipe that smile right off his face. He handed me the phone number and I snatched it. I will never be friends with Lincoln Clare.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right

I hope you had the time of your life

"Thanks." I snared.
