Welcome back! Please, tell me how you liked or disliked the first chapter? All feedback I get will be taken into consideration as I am working to only get better at writing to entertain others! I wasn't sure if I made it clear or not, but Kayla is the main character of the story, and I am only putting it into 'point of view 'styles because there will come a time later in the book where I switch it up and use it from someone else's point of view. So I just want to make sure everyone stays on the same track! Anyways, please enjoy the next chapter!!

*Kayla's POV*
Walking through the door and setting my things down, I call out for my best friend or some would say shes my roommate. She is currently sitting on the couch, eating a pint of ice cream while watching the current news. Doesn't she know they're just filling her brain with non-sense? I make my way over to my room to change into something more comfortable. Plus I really wanted to get out of this dress so I didn't think about the events that just happened.
Gabriella Davis, she has been my best friend since we were young kids. We grew up together, we did everything together; you wouldn't see us ever part from each others side. I was new at school, just moving to my home city during second grade. Now we didn't formally meet until 3rd grade, but after that we have been best friends since. She was my first real best friend when I moved, she really helped me blossom into the person who I am today. I swear if it wasn't for her I don't know where I would be in my life. I'm not going to lie but she really was the first love of my life; but obviously not in a sexual way. Gabriella was there for me when no one else was, she always helped me get back onto my feet, she wiped away my tears and shes been cheering me on throughout life. As Meredith Grey would say, "She is my person and I am hers".
I could go on for days just talking about our relationship and everything that makes us who we are together, but it would take up too much time and pages. So I grab my sweatpants and over-sized T-shirt while making my way to the bathroom. I should probably shower first and remove my makeup but my energy was just too low to do it. "You know you should probably watch and read more news, this world is going crazy you know!" I roll my eyes at the comment she has made, continuing to slip on my pajamas. I throw my now messy hair up into a bun and make my way over to the small kitchen to grab a drink.
"Not everything they tell you is true. Sometimes they put things in there to just mess with peoples minds, just like they are doing to you." I laugh as she darts her eyes at me. She always hated when I tried to prove a point to her that she didn't think was right. Gabriella turns her head back to the TV as she switches the channel to a different show. She probably just wants me to shut up now that I've ruined her night. Well I guess she wouldn't be the only person...
I grabbed a Sprite bottle from the bottom shelf of the fridge as I skip my way over to the couch next to Gabby. She sees me stand next to her and pats the spot next to her. I jump on the couch with my feet crossed and lay my head right on her shoulder. "So how did your date go tonight for the special occasion?" I let out a sign and slightly shake my head no. Obviously she could tell that it wasn't something good, so she begins to play with my hair. It always made me feel better when she comforted me. This is what best friends are for and I honestly think that I have the best one in the world. "Talk to me chick."
"It was good right before he got here. I don't know why but he seemed oddly off today and all i can think is that something or someone set him off during the day." I continue to tell her about how he negatively talked about my body, ordered food for me that I didn't even want, how he tried to push onto me saying he deserved something and everything after that point. Not once did Gabriella interrupt me while I ranted to her. She just sat there, continuing to play with my air quietly. We do this for each other all the time, we listen to each others rants before we give each other advice or tell what our thoughts are. It's how we build our relationship
