You still don't get it, do you Itsuki?

Realization

Miroslava had pinned Itsuki to the wall. Kaede was frantically trying to get to her and was held back by Ibara during the Greater Good game. He was too frantic to even comprehend what Miroslava was asking Itsuki.

"Do you love that boy with the glasses?" 

Itsuki immediately stiffened up and started blushing. 

"W-what are you talking about?" Miroslava could tell she was lying but just gave her a small smile and said, "I promise to not let your secret out"

After the game was said and done with, Kaede began to scold Itsuki, Yumeko came over to defuse the situation.

"You're a bit obtuse aren't you, Kaede?" Kaede was taken aback by this. Itsuki had scolded Kaede and gave her reasons as to why she forfeited her votes. He didn't hear much of what she said after she placed her hand on his, and as soon as her hand left his, he snapped back into reality and felt, a little sad, but a small smile had crept onto his face. Yumeko was quick to notice and wanted to test if her hypothesis was right. She placed her hand on his shoulder to get his attention,

"Kaede? You're looking quite red are you feeling alright?" Kaede wiped the smile off his face and fixed his glasses.

"I am just fine, Yumeko Jabami."

"Really, cause it seems like you're bluffing."

"I have no idea what you're talking about now if you'll excuse me, I'll be on my way." After that, Kaede left and went to find Itsuki. He didn't understand why, but he just needed to find her. Once he found her, he felt happier, more like himself. Itsuki turned around just in time to see Kaede approaching her, a slight blush crept onto her face, though it always did when she was around him. 

"Um, Itsuki...I...I..."

"Yes, Kaede-senpai?" Kaede gulped, why? Why did he do that? Why was he feeling all giddy and nervous just being in her presence?

"I...wanted to humbly apologize for the way I acted and lashed out at you earlier, will you forgive me?" This was a first. Kaede never apologized to anyone for anything, most of the time he was stone cold, but this was different, he felt different. Itsuki looked surprised and grabbed Kaede's face with her bandaged hands,

"Who are you and what have you done with Kaede?" Kaede began to blush quite a bit and steadily removed her hands from his face and cleared his throat,

"I just wanted to fix the error I've made,"

"You never make mistakes, well, besides gambling with Yumeko that is."

"There's a first for everything, but do you accept my apology?" Itsuki smiled and just gave him a hug,

"Of course I forgive you! After all, we are kindred spirits and I can't really stay mad at you for that long." She wasn't letting go, it seemed she wouldn't let go till Kaede wrapped his arms around her and hugged back.

"Itsuki, please let go of me." She looked up at him and gave an annoyed face,

"You have to hug back first,"

"D-Do I have too?"

"If you want me to let go you do," Kaede swallowed his pride and gave in, how is it that she always won? Itsuki was satisfied and let go,

"I'm going now Kaede-senpai! I'm going to have lunch with Yumeko and the gang, bye now!" Kaede waved and was tempted to go sit with her, but he didn't want to ruin the time she spends with her friends. Kaede didn't know why he was feeling this way, why was she now on his mind? Why was he feeling lonely when she wasn't around? Why did he miss her even though they had just talked? 

He felt conflicted with himself but he came to the horrifying realization that he, stone-cold Kaede Manyuda, had in fact fallen for Itsuki Sumeragi.
