Itsuki didn't know how long she and Kaede would be at the fair. She asked if she could quickly run to her house and grab a sweater, Kaede agreed and stated he would do the original plan of meeting her at the park.
"N-No! I want you to come with me!" Kaede froze,
"Y-You mean...go to your house? Meaning I have to see your parents?" Itsuki shook her head and assured all will be fine.
"My father is at work pretty much all the time and my mother is usually traveling for work." Kaede sighed and reluctantly walked with her to her house. She unlocked the house with a personal house key and they pair let themselves in. Itsuki's house was HUGE! It isn't surprising considering her dad is the owner of Japan's most renowned toy company.
They made their way upstairs and into Itsuki's bedroom, much like the rest of the rooms in the house, her room was big. She opened up her closet and got a sweater and she decided to get changed in her closet into a more comfortable outfit.
"Be right back out in a moment Kaede!" She shut her closet door and quickly changed. She came out in a pair of leggings, a sweatshirt, and a baggy zip-up hoodie. Kaede turned pink and just had an opened mouth expression.
"Alright! I'm ready!"
With that, the two left and locked the house door and headed to the fair.
*At the fair*
Itsuki was always wanting to go on the rides and Kaede obliged. They also got some snacks and sat down at the tables provided for the event. Itsuki got some cotton candy while Kaede got some pretzel bites.
"So, how's the day been Kaede-senpai?" Itsuki asked between mouthfuls of cotton candy. Kaede finished eating his pretzel bite ad then answered.
"Well, it's been a great relief considering I worked up the courage to ask you here." Kaede felt slightly embarrassed by that answer but Itsuki just smiled and giggled at how cute he was when he was feeling shy. She came over to his side of the table and sat next to him for the rest of the time that they ate.
"I know you have a hard time expressing your feelings, but I think it makes you look cute." She then laid her head on his shoulder. He froze again not knowing what to do. He could see three figures in the shadows of the somewhat dark sky. He immediately recognized the figures as Yumeko, Meari, and Ryota all cheering for him. He was mortified,
"What's wrong?" Itsuki asked looking around, Kaede thought fast on his feet and stood up with Itsuki by his side. He wrapped his arm around her side and walked in the opposite direction. Even in the dark sky he could see her face turn pink from the awkwardness. The two just walked together when they noticed a heart-shaped tunnel. The two looked at the tunnel and they turned the other direction. But, before they could even move a step away, Ryota came and pushed them into the tunnel where the two lovebirds landed in the boat. Ryota ran away as fast as possible.
"WHAT WAS THAT?!" Meari and Yumeko said in unison.
"W-well it seemed like a good idea in my h-" he was interrupted by the two cheering and horraying,
"RYOTA YOU'RE A GENIUS!" At that moment, Ryota felt proud
*In the tunnel*
Itsuki had fallen face-first on Kaede's chest when they got shoved into the boat. He attempted to catch Itsuki so his arms were wrapped around her to try and make sure she didn't get hurt in the fall. Itsuki quickly got up when she realized how the two were laying, she noticed Kaede's glasses fell off, he was looking for them frantically but, Itsuki picked them up off of the floor of the boat. She put his glasses back on his face and gives him another peck on the cheek, only this time he returns one. The two are just sitting in the boat and are both heavily blushing. They are just snuggled up together and are enjoying the ride. When the ride ends, they hop out of the boat and head home. Kaede walks Itsuki back to her house, they talked on the way there,
"Thanks for today senpai. It was so much fun!"
"I can say the same and thank you for coming with me in the first place."
"What? Did you have your doubts?"
"Well, I did have my doubts that you would say no,"
"Why would you think that?!" She sounded surprised and very confused all at the same time. Kaede rubbed his neck and felt slightly embarrassed,
"Well, I didn't think you would want to be with a guy like me..." Itsuki stopped and grabbed Kaede by the shirt and dragged him down to her level.
"Understand this senpai," Her eyes were filled with honesty and feelings of being sorry, "I have liked you since the day we met, your determination and ambition was something I admired about you, that's why I felt so sure to join the council, to begin with, besides my father asking me to be on the council." Kaede felt shocked, but she wasn't done,
"We are very much alike, and through us hanging out I figured that out little by little, and I came to the realization that I...I..." She trailed off, now Kaede was curious. He decided to test something, he started looking at her with a softer expression and began moving his face closer to hers, she noticed.
"Screw it," Kaede said and he kissed the girl. Her eyes were huge and she didn't know how to feel in that moment. But, she just accepted it and reciprocated the action. When they separated she smiled and finished her statement,
"I love you Kaede Manyuda" He was frozen again in shock but, he felt happy. He found something to be proud of, he didn't feel like he was under pressure by anything anymore. They reached Itsuki's house and the two hugged before ending their date.
And that night, Kaede walked home a happy man,
a happy man, with a girlfriend.
