Lucy saw her father looking down at her "You worthless child." He told her "I trusted you with everything and everyone, but you failed."

"Father." Lucy started feeling fearful. "I tried I really did -"

"But you failed." Her father cut in. "And now thanks to you your mother, sister and most of the clan are dead."

Lucy shivered suddenly feeling a cold chill in the dark and dreary room. "... And" Her father continued as though he didn't notice her discomfort. "And now it's your turn."

He finished as he lunged at her. Lucy felt his long, thin, bone like fingers close around her neck. "Such a disgrace," He murmured as his hands started to squeeze her neck ready to snap it. "A child of my flesh and blood would even think to..." But then he stopped himself and prepared to throw her to the floor. But at the last second he stopped.

"It would be a shame to kill the only key that could unlock me from this prison of a world." He said calmly. Lucy stared at her father in confusion for she didn't know what to say or think. Her father never did this in all the other dreams. And even more surprising Lucy felt his hands leave her neck.

"Lucy." Her father said in such a soft voice that made Anna nearly die of shock. The last time he spoke to her like that was 16 years ago when she was barly 2 years old.

"Lucy please listen to me." Lucy automatically looked in the direction of the man she called father, for never, never has she ever heard her father plead for or about any subject.

"Please listen to me, I know we never grew to an understanding..." he started only to be cut off by an upset Lucy. She had had enough!

"No we didn't, and you know why?" She asked but not stopping for his answer, even though this was a dream she might as well let out all of her bottled up rage now or she felt she might explode! Unfortunately for her, her father cut in.

"I heard a whisper in the clan about some mysterious power passed down generations through blood, so I did some investigating and, I found out that our family is from a bloodline of sorcerers and that the powers of our ancestors pass down only through females." Her father paused to catch his breath, so desperate was he to tell Lucy of his news. "Unfortunately, I was captured by the only other sorcerer family but unlike us they know how to use their powers. Before I was captured I found out two things! One, that the only females in our family receive the power while the other family it's only males. And two," He took another breath, "The powers for both bloodlines must be triggered in order for the powers to be awakened, this means that something has to happen to you or be done by you for your powers to work/be turned on." Lucy held out her hand with a leader's authority.

"So you mean that I have magic?" She asked

"Ofcourse it means you have magic, you dumb, deaf girl!"

"This is kinda lame for a dream, sounds like a cliché in a book."

"This isn't a dream" her father said "I stole a vision crystal from the other family and can now contact only you." There was a silence and then what felt like a tug on a rope, pulling her backwards, in her chest.

"You're waking up." Cried her father as Lucy felt the rope tighten around her, then as she was beginning to be dragged away, her father lent towards her and told her.

"You are the only one with magic, and the other family know this so they are sending thousands of people after you." He paused and Lucy could tell that he was using as muchof the crystal's powers as he could to tell her this, he continued.

"Once you wake up you won't remember this until you find the little bag I left. I have engraved the location on your arm, only you will be-able to see it."
