As I was about to climb into my Mustang, the text chime went off from my cellphone. Pulling it out of my pocket, I glanced down to see a text from Lena.

Change of plans. Can you meet me at my place? 423 Crane Road.

Just about to head to the club, I suspected that the relocation may have something to do with Jacob. It was no secret that we weren't fans of each other but I was almost sure that Lena wanted to minimize the chance of me running into him.

Not a problem but is everything okay?

I waited a moment for a reply but decide to just head to her place anyway. Typing the address into the car's GPS, I saw how out of the way her house was. It would take some off roading to get there but I should be able to find it.

I couldn't help but think about Jacob and it pissed me off that Lena was trying to keep us apart. I understood it though, and I knew it put Lena in an uncomfortable spot when Jacob and I were in the same room.

Following the GPS directions towards Lena's house, I still had time to show Lena that she was meant to be with me and find a way that I could be with her the way she deserved. I only warred with Jacob because we both wanted the same thing—Lena.

I slowed down as the potential turn off of the main, paved road was coming up on the GPS. Making a sharp turn onto gravel, I continued upward as I followed the distinct directions on my car's dashboard.

Eventually, a small house appeared in the distance and I could see Lena's truck in the driveway. I pulled my car behind hers and waited for a moment before heading up to the front door.

Something as small as picking her up from her house was a big gesture for me. I would never do that before and yet, there I was, reveling in the fact that she wanted me to know where she lived. Every new fact that I learned about Lena made me hopeful for the future I was sure we could build together. I hoped that she saw things that way as well but only time would tell.

Finally getting out of my car, I headed up the porch and was surprised when Lena popped out of the front door, ready to go.

"Hey!" She smiled as she finished slipping on a light jacket over a killer tight black dress.

I stood at her in awe and it was a moment before I could gather my thoughts.

She truly was drop dead gorgeous in both the most obvious and not so obvious ways. Everything about her captivated me from head to toe and I didn't know how I lived my life without her before then.

"You okay?" She teased as she stood there and I failed to speak.

"Uh, yeah." I laughed at myself. "You just...uh, you look great."

Lena was suddenly shy and somewhat embarrassed as a pink tint flooded her cheeks and she tried to cover up her curvy body.

I drank her in as she stood there and the last thing I wanted her to do was cover up. She would never have to cover up in front of me. I wanted her entirely and that meant every single inch of her body, too.

"Thanks." She smiled as she averted her eyes to the ground.

Eventually, I told myself, she would get used to the compliments and affection that I gave her. One day, she would start to believe the things that I told her.

One day.

"You're a sight for sore eyes, too." She told me as she turned her focus to admiring me as I stood there in my all black dress pants and dress shirt. I was polished as I always had to be but Lena, she didn't even have to try and she was a knockout.
