/Recap/'Knock... KNOCK KNOCK' ... Who is it? 'Knock... Knock... KNOCK KNOCK
Who was the one responsible for disturbing my breakdown time.... Can't you leave me alone??
I look a peek through the small door viewer. !!! Wait a minute... Is that - -It was Dave! The one I had a crush on in high school!
What.. the hell is he doing here? Wait...
/Recap end/
I tippy toe as I reach for the peek-hole on the door. As I peek through the door viewer, Dave continues to knock the door.
'Knock, Knock, Knock.' The more he knocked the more louder it got and the more his expression changed. He was getting troubled, I think.
What is he doing here? I put out my cigarette in an ashtray and freak out. I calm myself down and take a deep breathe. Okay. Just chill. I reach my hand towards the door handle but paused... Wait How do I look right now? Am I even presentable after all that crying I did? Shit...
I ran towards the bathroom and checked myself in the mirror. Oh God! I look like shit! My mascara was running down and my brows were smudged. I fixed my makeup real quick and ran towards the door. Oh God. Why am I so nervous. Just relax. I took one last deep breathe and opened the door slightly. The feelings should have faded, right? It should be alright, since it has been ages since I last saw him... But he is still as cute as ever! I open the door...
Thump... Thump..Thump... We look at each other face to face without speaking for a few minutes... Silence...
'Oh! Clara, right?!' He shouted happily. .... Eh... Well Close enough, I guess. I blush deeply as I look down, fiddling with my small hands.
'Oh shit... No, wait. Sorry, Claire? It's Claire, right?!' Dave confirmed, scratching the corner of his eye.
'Ah Yeah... Dave, right?' I nodded. I definitely didn't forget your name, Dave. After all...
'Yeah! Cool, you remember me?' He's so happy just like how he was in high school.
'Well, of course! We went to high school together, but you were just in the other class.' I reply. Well duh, I had a crush on you in high school but you probably didn't know that. You don't, Dave. But, My heart seems to remember as the butterflies resurface again. I bet you didn't even notice that you were always on my mind in high school. But, it is not your fault... since I never did confessed to you anyway. But that was because I heard you liked some other girl at the time, so I never did really pursue you. Do I regret that? Maybe, maybe not. Who knows.
'But damn! This is kind of funny on how I run into you like this. What a coincidence, really. And your hair! You used to have it always tied up. But now, it looks super cute when you leave it down like this.' He commented. Woah. Way to get my heart pumping... Thump Thump Thump... You look super cute yourself too. Dave.
'O-oh N- No, Not really.' I become fluster with his comments. I try to hide my blush with covering my face with my hands.
'I'm serious! It really suits you!' He sounds so nervous.
'Hahaha well then. Thank you so much for your compliment!' I smile awkwardly. I am not used to having compliments like this... But the nostalgic feelings, Dave you make my heart flutter once more.
'So..... What brings you here?' I asked curiously. How did he find out I live here? What was his purpose on this visit?
'Oh!' He suddenly remembers. Sigh. I really do need to calm down. I know he's not here to see me. Brain... Please think logically. He turns around and turns back to me, holding something.
