Love was lost that day
Love was lost- to no one's dismay
We were so close to winning
This war that we started
But now we are at the beginning
Of the day that will go down in history
We lost so many souls that day
Much to everyone's dismay
For this is what they care about
So, they shout
With their voices of greed
They plant the seeds
That will cause more love to be lost
This will forever be a mystery to me
Why grieve over a single tree shedding its leaves
When the earth is perishing
It will be too late to know,
Once I find out
But I'll count down the days-
The hours
In the hopes of seeing and knowing
The real world in front of me
Maybe I'll never know
Still, I hope
That one day I'll know why they do the things they do
