Carol pushed open the door to Mr.Linters' classroom. As you both walked in most people stared. Mainly at you since the dress you wore was something that made you stand out more so than you'd like to. Carol briefly apologized for being late and took a seat at one of the sets of tables. She was so different to you this morning compared to the encounter you two just had. You would be lying if you said that didn't freak you out just a little bit.

You decided to take a seat at a different set of tables setting your bag down beside you. You looked up towards the front of the classroom and saw Carol frowning at your choice of seating. She confused you. A lot more than you'd like to admit. She could be nice and respectful, but she could also make you piss your pants just by looking at you a certain way. Which just made you all the more interested in how complex she really was given the very few interactions you've had with her.

Since you signed up for this club to meet new people, you thought, "Fuck it", grabbed your bag and moved to the seat across from her. Her eyes following your every move from when you stood up then sat back down. "Looks like you chose the right Chess Master to learn with, glad to see you're not as much of a dumbass as I thought" she said with a smile on her face. You sighed giving her an 'Oh really?' look before saying, "Maybe I just don't want you to kill me for not being your Chess partner" She lightly snorted and replied with

"Oh please. I have a whole list of reasons to kill people and them not being my chess partner is pretty low on there"

You tried to reply to that but when you opened your mouth to say something, no words came out. Carol didn't seem surprised at all by your response, or really, the lack of it. So she just started setting up all of the pieces to the strategic board game, smirking the whole time while glancing at your still stunned face. "If only I had a photographic memory, this shit would be one for the books" she mumbled while setting up the pieces. "I- I'm sorry Care-" "The fuck did you just call me?", "I heard that girl in the hallway say it-" "Dont fuckin repeat anything Barbie says. Not even a nickname. I don't wanna be reminded of that cum-brained cunt" she said through gritted teeth, making sure to keep her voice low in order to not make a scene. "Jesus, sorry Carol. Okay?!" you scream whispered. She paused before looking directly at you and flattening her lips into a thin line "Let's just play this fucking game like we're here to do."

"Christ, I didn't know someone could be THIS fucking bad at such a simple game, why'd you even bother signing up kid?" Carol asked annoyed at the fact that every single move you've made had just been complete and utter shit. "Better than fucking studying or getting into pointless fights with my-... never mind, I just used to play it when I was little and thought it would be fun." "Hmm" Carol grunted, "Well looks like it's finally fucking over, I'll have to teach you how to actually play because seriously, you're pretty shit." She grabbed her large grey trapper keeper and slung it over her shoulder, you did the same as it was the last few minutes before the club officially came to an end. You walked up to the door being the first in line as you were closer, she later followed behind. When the clock finally hit 6:30 you opened the door and headed for your car. You could hear a pair of footsteps behind you. "Penny!" you could hear Carol shout. You ignored her, mainly just for the fact that you hated your name. It was your grandmothers name, and let's just say she wasn't the best. "I know you fucking hear me!" You quickened your pace still ignoring her.

"HEY DOLLFACE WOULD YOU LISTEN FOR A FUCKING SECOND?!"

Dollface.

The extremely unexpected nickname almost made you stumble as you came to an abrupt stop. You turned around, hoping Carol didn't see the redness of your face. You stared at her as she jogged up to you. Your height differences once again becoming very apparent. She lets out a huff and looks down at you, "I just need a ride back home since you literally watched my sister leave, and as we discussed, she is my ONLY ride." Her breathing was still heavy but her face softened. "Fine, but no funny business... Or chess talk.". She sighed "Fine, I won't even blink if ya don't want me too" she lazily grinned and looked in your direction, you gave her a smile and an eye roll before walking out to your car as she followed.
