Another Place, Another Time

The whole story

Long after the adventures of Wendy Darling the lost boys had started to notice things changing they were weaker, slower, and all together, diminished. Well all of them except one, Peter was in fact stronger faster and healthier. The boys started to realize they had been lied to and they are in danger so they started to plan an escape "Shhhhh" Nibs says as he rolls his eyes at Cubby who had clumsy tripped over one of the trunks at the bottom of the tree that they all slept, they all slowly crept over the sleeping Pan that was lying on the floor ,the boys could hear him snoring signalling that he was fast asleep but had they not noticed was that his shadow was gone... They go off into the woods not even bothering to look back as they should of for as soon as Peter felt his shadow leave he woke up and noticed the boys were gone to right away he knew they must of known something and were planning to leave "come on boys faster and stay close" nibs reminds them " but it's dark and i can't see" Cubby complained as he tripped over another exposed root "Yeah and I'm t-t-tired" Tooties yawnes "Alright we'll find somewhere to hide until first light" Slightly says " Spread out and look for somewhere to hide guys fast". As they fan out and look Pan's shadow stops and watches waiting for Peter to catch up. "Found one" shouted the twins at the same time "No I did" they started to argue, "It doesn't matter if everyone get in a hurry" Slightly exclaims "I think I heard something". They all settle in thinking they are safe just as Pan comes out of the trees with a mad look in his eyes "All I've done for you and you're gonna leave me in the middle of the night" Peter yells at them, as he is shouting Slightly whispers to the smaller ones to climb up and escape to the other trees "You mean all the lies you fed us Pan we are dying and it's all your fault, you don't even care we see you getting stronger look at me Pan I'm sick " Slightly shouts accusingly saying the last part softly "You aren't leaving, none of you are..ever" Peter says as he lunges for him but Slightly was prepared and he climbs up the tree swiftly shouting to the rest to go, they disappear into the trees but not before they hear Peter yell " I'll get you all! You are nothing without me!" They climb through the trees hurriedly until they no longer can than they drop to the ground and run for it. As they run Slightly feels himself getting weaker and weaker so when they finally make it to the beach Slightly collapsed and blacks out.As Slightly lies there the other lost boys start to panic and run around looking for help, a pixie who happened to be watching took pity on them and decided to see what she could do. Silently she came up and examined Slightly determining what was wrong Cubby who was the first to notice shouted "hey what do you think you are doing" "I am trying to help my name is Avil and this boy is very sick if you don't get him medicine he is going to die". By now the rest of the boys have gathered as they exchange nervous glances they realize they don't know what to do. "Medicine?" they say in unison " yes, medicine. It's something you take when you are sick and want to get better" Avil responds softly. "But we don't know where any medicine is" the twins whine tearfully. Slightly has begun to stir noiselessly, she looks up and responds "well lucky for you I know where some is but you'll have to retrieve it yourselves" "Where is it" tooties asks before anyone else can "On captain Hook's ship. The Jolly Roger" she responds slowly. The boys look at each other nervously "well come on it's Slightly, we have to he would do it for us," exclaims cubby just as Slightly wakes up fully and realizes what they are saying, "I know you guys care about me but i'll go alone I can't let anything happen to you guys" Slightly says as they startle seeing him awake "Slightly" they exclaim than " no you can't go ,not alone!". "We do it together or not at all that's how its always been come on guys we can do it!" Tooties says with finality. They decide to go and bid goodbye to the pixie "The medicine is in an orange bottle" she tells them before they go. They run along trying to figure out how they are going to go about it. They creep up to the ship noting how dark and quiet it is, thinking everyone must be asleep. One by one they climb up a rope hanging off the side and lightly land on deck scooting along the side to Hook's treasure room and slip inside surprised it's unlocked. "Remember its an orange bottle" says nibs as they rummage through the cabinets and shelves " I have it" shouts Tootsie "and i have you" says Hook as he grabs Tootsie and the medicine "What brings the lost boys to my ship eh? And where is your fearless leader?" "He is no leader and definitely not ours, he has lied to and used us, please I'm dying i need that medicine!" Slightly begs. "So you've finally realized who the real villain is huh? I tried helping you before I told you he is not as golden as you all thought but now you need my help? Very well take the medicine it does you no good though" hook says with a chuckle " This whole island is a cage, he'll find you in the end and do with you what he's done with the rest" He says his voice dripping with acid but his eyes showing deep regret. "But you can help can't you, your ship it can bring us home can't it?" Slightly questions. "Yes it can leave Neverland and I'll bring you home, that's all I ever wanted was to bring the lost boys home" Hook responds with sadness. Hook than hurries to wake his crew and get them afloat, the lost boys rejoice and cheer as they realize they are finally going home. Despite their excitement they fall asleep dreaming of finding their families and living truly free. "Land ahead" a crew member shouts waking the children, they run to the side and see London looming ahead. They shout in excitement and all but jump off the side in a hurry to touch the land and when the ship lowers to the port, the crew jumped down and look around taking in the beautiful city. But what they all had failed to consider was that many years had passed while they were with pan and as the years came crashing upon them they looked upon each others faces as they look to Hook screaming "What's happening?!" as their bodies slowly crumbled to dust, a single tear rolled down hooks face as he watched their remains gather together and fly away in the wind falling to the city that has long forgotten them, he knew this would happen, but he thought just maybe this once everything would work out but still in the end "to late again" hook said in anguish. Hook sadly returned to neverland where pan was already assembling another ban of poor boys he had swept away from their homes with promises of paradise. Second star to the right and straight on till morning sounded more like a death sentence rather than an adventure like Pan made it out to be. Hook could hear it from the ship, the children's laughter was a steak to the heart and he feared his heart could not bare the guilt of letting Pan have these innocent little boys. With his lies and deceiving smile, and above all the boys laughter he could hear Pans own, daring Hook to take these boys away knowing he would never truly save them or defeat Pan, because to him it was all a game and it felt as though whatever Hook tried he would always be in checkmate with Pan, because we all know in this story the "villain" will never win the game.
