The cold flow of space whipped through Lance's hair as he held onto the open door of the airlock. "Someone, Please!" Lance felt his fingers slipping from the door. Tears flew down his face and out the open doors, into the darkness of space.
There was nobody nearby to help him. No one at all. His screams echoed off the walls. The only person who managed to slightly hear them was Keith.
"Guys. Guys!" they weren't paying attention. "EVERYBODY SHUT UP" Keith yelled as loud as he could, shocking all the other paladins. Shiro went to scold him, but Keith wouldn't have it.
Keith swore he heard something. He just couldn't make out what exactly it was. "Where's Lance." Keith raised his voice, scanning the common room. Lance wasn't anywhere to be seen.
Then he heard it again. A scream. Lance. The only other time he'd heard that scream was when Lance was almost sucked out of the airlock.
"Oh no.." Keith muttered. "What is it?" Pidge asked, pushing her glasses up to the bridge of her nose. "Do you guys seriously not hear that?" Keith yelled. The paladins looked between each other confused.
Another scream. "Oh my god." Keith raced towards the airlock. The paladins stayed where they were. Keith could handle this, or so they thought.
"LANCE!" Keith screamed as he cut around corners. "I'M COMING LANCE!" Keith was nearing the airlock doors.
Lance heard Keith's screams and sobbed even harder. "KEITH!" he screamed back, helping Keith find him. Keith lost his balance as he suddenly stopped in front of the open doors.
Lance was gripping the door as tight as he could. Keith reached for Lance's hand. Lance squeezed tightly as Keith tried to pull him up.
While moving backwards Keith tripped and fell forwards, sliding along the cold metal floor. Keith's boots hooked on to a dent in the floor. Lance and Keith hung there, grasping each other's elbows tensely.
"Keith!" Lance whimpered as tears began streaming down Keith's face. "I.. I-I don't want to die!" Lance cried desperately as Keith tried pulling them up. "You aren't going to!" Keith screamed, squeezing Lance's elbows. "I promise!"
"Well in case I do...I need to tell you something!" Lance's face grew into a smile. "Keith.. I've loved you since back in the garrison. I was just a stupid stubborn kid! I tried to become your equal by becoming your rival. Keith.. I LOVE YOU!!" Lance sobbed.
"L-Lance I-I I" his sobs were interrupted by Lance pressing his warm lips against Keith's. "I love you Keith." "Lance I lo-" he was interrupted by Lance's arms slipping out from his.
"KEITH!!"
"LANCE" Keith screamed trying to reach an arm out to grab Lance. Their fingers grazed together, but weren't close enough to grab.
Keith just sat there, holding himself in the ship with his hand on the door. Lance.
Footsteps came thudding down the hall. "Keith?"
"I.. love you.. too.."
