Mato's POV/BACKSTORY
"What is normal?"
When I was a kid, I always asked my mother about it because I never understand what normal really means. When I tried and tried to ask my mother about it she always say "You'll understand when you're older." I could never understand why she won't tell me the real reason. Hell I was just a little girl that is innocent and naive just like some other kids that doesn't understand it. I mean, I don't blame my mother just because she couldn't tell me what normal really means. But still, I always asked myself, "do you really have to be normal so people can be friends with you? Do you have to be normal so people won't beat the crap out of you or make fun of you because you're different than the other human being in this unfair world?" But, to be honest, I never understand it myself until my Junior High School days. And when I was a kid until Junior High, I've always have those dreams about this 'other version' of me which she's older in this 'other world', she's always get into fights, battles and she even kills because of these 'negative feelings' and four girls in my dreams always get into fights with her as well because they thought she was an enemy or something and they all were killed by her and four girls which is my three classmates and my counselor in Junior High always have the same dreams as I have.
I was 13 years old and it was my first year of Junior High. At that time, I don't really care what people think of me because I was too busy being an outgoing chick. I don't even have the time of figuring that stuff out anyway because I have a dream to catch but hell I don't even know what I should do yet I mean, do you have to worry about what you gonna do in the future while you're in High School? Duh, it's obvious you do. I mean, that's what 'normal' teenagers do right?
A few minutes after the entrance ceremony and the students including myself are walking back to our classrooms, I noticed the girl that has this red, braided bracelet on her wrist and she always makes them but she always made them in different colors. You didn't know this either but she is in the same classroom as I am. So, I thought to myself that I should make a friend. So that's what I've been trying to do. We talked until we introduce our names, The girl said that her last name is Takanashi and then I asked her that "why is it pronounced Takanshi?" because last time I checked I really thought it pronounced Kotari Asobi but the girl told me that it means 'little birds playing' and that's how she writes her last name, and then I realized that I misread it. The girl finally introduce her first and last name, her name is Yomi Takanashi. Yomi is a type of a girl that is gentle, and good-natured who speaks politely and calmly and I got to hang it to her, she is really mature for her age.
We also talked about that she used to live in Germany with her mother before they moved into my neighborhood. Later, she finally reveals that she used to move one place to another while growing up, which it caused her to develop a sort of a distant attitude towards others. Then she finally shows me where she lives which it's a freaking mansion.
Back in the day, I used to play basketball with the other kids while I was in elementary school until I joined the basketball team in Junior High. And Yomi joins a art club and then during Yomi's second year, she finally joins the volleyball team.
To be honest with you, all the dumbass trouble started during my first year and I used to always talk about my troubles to my counselor named Saya Irino and for some odd reason she wants me to die or something and her positive feelings towards me, it's all fake but at the end it kinda turn good cuz everybody is getting along and all that crap. But it turned out the worst during my second year in Junior High, and it's all started when me and Yomi are in separate classes and we started to drift apart. One day while playing basketball and volleyball, Yomi sees me getting injured and be tended to by Yuu Kotari. Yuu is another best friend of mine that is a excitable and a perky typed girl. And I forgot to mention this but we've known each other since kindergarten and in my first year in Junior high, I've always talked about Yuu to Yomi. And I never thought that Yomi feels left out, and it ends up for Yomi spending more time watching me and Yuu hanging out. Days went by as Internally, she became jealous which I never noticed it and never know why because I thought Yomi is cool about being friends with Yuu. I never thought that Yomi will become jealous because of it.
