《Author Note: I LIED 😬 I said I wasn't going to add any smut because I wasn't brave, but Earth's bravery inspired me (and my friends Liz and Kae 🥰😘) and they made me want to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. It's very mild but I like how it turned out! SOOOOOOO:

Enchanting. Enchanting was the one word that came to mind as he looked at Earth trembling beneath him, his eyes closed in euphoria. Enchanting. Beautiful. Stunning. Glowing. Yes, Earth was glowing as they moved together, so close that even the moonlight couldn't come between them.Earth's little whimpers drove Kao crazy and it was all he could do to hold himself together, just a little longer. Kao could feel every touch, every fingerprint that branded his skin as Earth gripped his back, his arm, his chest, anywhere he could grab.
God, he loved him.
Kao placed little kisses all over Earth, his eyelid, his nose, his earlobe, as he moved at a steady rhythm and Earth chanted his name over and over.
God, he loved him.
Earth dug his teeth into Kao's shoulder to keep from crying out and Kao let out a growl, sending him over the edge, taking Earth with him.
God, he loved him.
The moonlight shining into the cave reflected off Earth's face, making him look more ethereal than he already was.
Kao gently brushed the damp hair from Earth's face and kissed his forehead. He couldn't believe this stunning creature draped over his chest was his. His to care for. His to cherish. His to love. Kao pressed his lips to Earth's temple.
"I love you," he whispered and pulled Earth closer.
"I love you, too," Earth responded by planting small kisses up and down the arms wrapped around him and Kao was grateful that, just for this moment, everything was perfect.

The sunlight filtered through the vines hanging across the cave entrance, hitting Kao directly in the face. He groaned and stretched, automatically reaching out to feel for the small body he fell asleep next to but found the space empty and he sat up.
"Earth?" he called, with no answer.
Quickly, Kao got up and slipped his pants on, the mist from the waterfall hitting him in the face as he walked out of the cave. He squinted in the mid-morning sun and shielded his eyes as he looked around, finally finding his target sitting on a rock by the lagoon with his feet dangling over the water. He looked so majestic, Kao almost didn't want to disturb him.
Kao sat down behind Earth, both legs on either side of him, and wrapped his arms around Earth's slight frame. He rested his chin on Earth's shoulder as Earth brought his hands up to rub the arms around his torso.
"Good morning," Kao smiled, kissing Earth's neck.
"Good morning." Kao could hear the smile in Earth's voice. "How did you sleep?"
"Very well," Kao said, his kisses moving down Earth's back to his shoulder blades. "How are you feeling?" he asked against Earth's shoulder.
"A little tired and sore. But wonderful," Earth squeezed Kao's arm, smiling as Kao moved his way up to Earth's cheek.
"Good." Kao placed more gentle kisses on Earth's cheek and temple, finding a ticklish spot on Earth's neck that made Earth shy away, laughing. He turned to face Kao.
"P'Kao...did you find any...stray hydrangeas...or anything else...when you woke up?" Earth looked concerned and Kao laughed softly, picking up Earth's hand and bringing it to his lips.
"Nope. There weren't any because I controlled it. I controlled the energy last night so we wouldn't have any giveaways."
Kao pulled back to see tears welling up in Earth's eyes.
"You...you can do that now?"
Kao nodded, placing a kiss on the end of Earth's nose. "All of our training has paid off. I feel a much greater connection so I barely have to concentrate so hard on it. It's very easy for me now. Why are you crying?" Kao chuckled, catching Earth's tears with his thumb. Earth looked up at him and Kao saw so many emotions flash through his eyes. Surprise. Happiness.
Love."I'm so happy, P'Kao. I know it's only temporary until we defeat the Spirit of Darkness, but I want to hold on to this happiness for as long as I can. It gives me hope and strength. I feel so much stronger with you. I love you, P'Kao," Earth leaned forward, placing a chaste kiss on Kao's lips.
Kao stroked Earth's hair and looked deep into those sparkling eyes, knowing that this was the reason he was fighting. This happiness. He knew he had to make it last forever.
