BORN TO MAKE HER HAPPY

Chapter 4

Paul's POV

"Stop it!" I shouted. I walked forward and the students moved alongside. "What did you do to her?" I asked them furiously.

"Paul, l-let me explain." Kat stuttered.

I bend down looking at Ruby, felt like my heart is breaking. I put my hands under her knees and around her back. "Are you okay?" I asked her. Stupid question. I know she's not. I just can't find the right words to let her know that I care.

She looked up and her tears running down from her face. "It's okay." I whispered. Ruby rested her head in my chest giving me a strange feeling within. A small smile made its way into my face. And we exited the mass of students and headed to our next subject.

Apparently, no one is in there aside from Dan Casi the legendary geek in this school. At first his eyes widened but recover as soon as I motion him to get out and right away he stands up and disappears. I set Ruby in the chair.

"I'm sorry." I mumbled. "This won't happen to-" I was cut off when she gives me a quick hug.

"Thank you." She said with tears forming quickly in her eyes.

"Don't cry or else I will kiss you." I whispered while caressing her face and hugged her. It was not me but the lover in me.I didn't know how to act with this, all I know is I need to comfort her.

At the end of the day, I looked around for Ruby. Finally, I spotted her in the Cafeteria with her friend. I come close to them and took a seat beside her friend and greeted them warmly.

"Hi I'm Myca." She said giving me a genuine smile.

She had pretty face like Ruby.
She had a long hair like Ruby.
She had a beautiful Brown eyes like Ruby.
She smiles like Ruby.

Ugh!
Am I too obvious? Okay! I had a crush on her.

"Ruby hasn't informed me that she had a gorgeous friend." I complimented her, its like I complimented Ruby too.

"Gorgeous? Me? Oh! Me." She laughs. "I'm Myca." She paused for a moment and looked at me. "Did I say my name already?"

"Yeah!" I nodded.

"In case you forgot." She strokes her hair and flushed. And I burst out in laughter.

"You are so cute like Ruby."

"That's why were friends." Myca stated.

We were chatting for a couple of minutes then we stood up and decided to leave as soon as they finished their snacks. On our way out, I put my hands around Ruby's waist and she got stiffen for a moment. I was surprised because I was presumed that she was going to pinch me like she commonly does. A smile drew in my face. Myca raised her brow and I just winked at her. Life was never this good to me unless something will happen to screw up everything.

A few minutes later, we stood up in front of the Parking Area. And a few seconds after that, Myca waved goodbye and started to climb in to her car and vanished.

"I'm sorry." Ruby suddenly said while looking at me.

"Sorry for what?"

"I haven't been good to you." She frowned. "I mean I never been so friendly to anyone. But you, you made up your mind that you really want to make friends with me. Sorry and thank you."

Her eyes travelled straight to my eyes. The look in her eyes had made me desire to press my lips against her. And I slowly closed the gap between us and kept our lips tightly-together ignoring the possibility that everyone's eyes were on us.
