"She wasn't fragile, she was deliberately broken by a monster like you!"
Maya said.

" Huh. What non-sense!" MJ looked away.

She chuckled.

" She put faith in you, it was the biggest mistake of her life! Well, the ultimate blame went on her" Maya said leaning her hands on the witness box.

"Tell me MJ, what she had, which nobody had!" She paused.
MJ looked baffled.
"Something which can be treasured!
Now, what's that treasure?
Money?
Gold?
Position?"
She leaned ahead at him, gazing deep in his eyes.
" Or a secret!"

Maya moved back still looking at him. MJ couldn't utter a word.
" A secret she had known.
A secret which she treasured enough to shake the earth beneath you. I would love to share the secret with you all"

She said.

" You can break any house using your power, shake the faith using your connections, or snatch the breaths by tightening your fists, bury her in the deepest graves of the earth but the truth is immortal." She said ahead.

" Come on stop wasting Court's time" MJ huffed.

She leaned ahead on the witness box. She had a smirk on her face.

"July 2010, neither you can forget that night nor I can."

MJ gazed at her angrily as she started blurting the truth.

"You fought with your wife, which didn't go well and she ends up leaving your house," she said.

MJ looked baffled.

" Yeah, so? Every couple has their troubles. This isn't related to the case"

" Then you went behind her. Chased her with your car"

" I was in love with her. She left me."

" And you somehow reached to her. At the Foggy hill. But there was something untold here. The powerful person like you who has never cared about her when she was pregnant with your first child, now suddenly became so important that..." She paused.
Rudra looked at her.

" You killed her. You pushed her off from the hill showing she did suicide"

" What rubbish"

"You killed her!"

MJ looked furious.
"No"

"Because she was coming in your way"

"This is a lie"

"A lie was witnessed by someone" she matched his eyes with equal fire. "That someone was none other than Manvi"

"She also got know about your illegal deals with Mittal. You both wanted to earn so much money. You held captive the Chawl people. You even killed your wife for it then who was me in front of the death? You didn't stop then too. How ruthless you are, once again visit the place to see if I have died or not." She said.

" Shut up. Shut up" MJ panicked.

" And then got caught by your son." She looked at Rudra.

" But you have had enough killings. So you started playing with his mind, by giving him shock treatment"

" But as I said before, no one has escaped away from the Maya of this destiny. It has come for you again. This time it will destroy you MJ. You have no way to escape"

MJ gave her a look and then burst into a laugh.

"Wow what a story! But this is a court. And here everything runs under proofs. So where's the proof?" MJ said.

"Everything is in the black cat"
She said.

Everyone heard a meow sound of the cat as Rajeev held it. It was Rudra's pet, Meow.

Rajeev and Rudra looked at each other cluelessly.

While the cat jumped off Rajeev's lap and walked at her.

She held the cat in her hands, caressing it lightly, and took out the chip from the leash around her neck.

She handed the chip to Rudra and he played it on the laptop screened as a projector in the court.

The video started playing all the truth of MJ. It had a clip of him pushing his wife off from the hill, then talking to Manvi and warning her to stay out of his way. It also showed the illegal business of Mittal. Mainly played the video of the car incident. Rishi and his friends trying to molest her while Rudra got intoxicated by the injection Rishi stabbed on his neck.

Rudra tried to remember. He became shocked seeing that he threw the lighter towards Manvi and it caused a fire around her body.

Rudra breathed heavily. 
The video was played again and it showed someone else near Manvi. Everybody looked shocked as they saw MJ.

"Your game is over MJ." She said.

She looked at the judge. Her eyes fell on the statue of the justice, covering her eyes and holding the weighing in her hand.

"The culprits are present here, in this court. The only thing remained is to uncover the clothe around your eyes and look at the truth" she said.

" No you bitch" MJ was about to pounce on her but Rudra held him back.

MJ pulled out his gun. The people in the court scattered away. The chaos-filled in the air.

Rudra tried to hold MJ's hand while the next moment the gunshot fired.

Police ran to them and separate them away, arresting MJ.

Rudra got up.
Everything stabilized as MJ was held by the police.

The judge announced the case hearing in favor of Rudra. The charges of murder and trying to vanish the proofs put on MJ. His license as a lawyer got canceled along with him Mittal's all construction license got sealed. He was under arrest for the charges of illegal drug supply. Rishi and his friends got a punishment under molestation and 30 years of imprisonment.
The land of Chawl became crime-free.

Rudra looked at her. There was a subtle smile on her face.
He walked at her and held her hands.
"We did it"

Rudra walked away from her and hugged Rajeev.
"I always knew brother, the victory is going to be yours"

Rudra smiled and looked back. She wasn't in the witness box.
"Where's Janvi?" He asked.
His eyes fell on her walking out of the courtroom.

Rudra went behind her.

After coming out of the court, he looked for her everywhere.
She found nowhere. He pulled out his phone to call her when someone tapped on his shoulder.

He looked back.
"There you are!!"

Rudra said looking at Janvi.
" I was finding you only."

"I am sorry Rudra. I'm so sorry for my sister. I hope she forgives me. Did we lose the case right? "

" What are you talking about Janvi? We won the case. Because of your statement! "

" My statement? But MJ's men locked me up in my house. I couldn't come. I'm here reaching now" as she said, Rudra stepped back.

" Then who was she? "

" Whom are you talking about? " Janvi asked.

A realization hit Rudra's mind.

A chill passed through his bones when he breathed out her name,
"Maya"
