The Five Heroes

Chapter 2

Kage's POV

"Kyoko!" Kage screamed, racing over to Kyoko's side, the small girl lay on the ground in the midst of the rubble, bloody tears running down her face. Kage grimaced 'guess she overused her Quirk' Kage thought to herself faintly remembering the time when Kyoko was explaining her character to everyone back in their original world.

Kage propped her up against the warhead and frowned, she's freezing, "Hey Pom," she spoke into her earpiece, "what the heck happened down there?" Her question, of course, was met with silence, guess he's not too happy about losing, Kage sighed, man, Kyoko sure is strong, I need to start getting better at using my Quirk. This body sure is amazing though, I could barely run for a minute back home.

The sound of footsteps brought her out of her thoughts, "Kage! Kyoko!" All Might's voice rang out from their earpieces, Kage grimaced, "yeah?"

"Some transport bots are on their way up to grab Kyoko," All Might said, "come down with them and return to the room to watch the rest of the matches."

Kage slowly got to her feet, shivering, as her Quirks drawbacks started to flow through her as her adrenaline died down, ugh, of course, the drawbacks have to kick in now, Kage thought bitterly. A small thud came from the staircase and two transpo-bots skittered into the room, coming to a stop in front of Kyoko. The two of them quickly lifted her onto the cot, before retreating back down the stairs, Kage following behind.

As Kage came back to the room, all eyes were on her, it looks like I and Bakugo were the only ones to make it back to the room, well Midoriya's arms are probably in pretty bad shape and Kyoko looked kinda dead when the nurse bot things took her away, Kage thought as she scanned the room, walking towards the first familiar face she saw.

"Hey, Rina!" Kage called out before coming to a stop in front of the tall girl, "this is insane! I swear I felt like dying when I used my Quirk, I really wish I didn't make any drawbacks when I was creating my OC back then," Kage whispered to her friend.

Rina rolled her eyes, "It wouldn't be very fair if everyone but you had drawbacks though, she pointed out to Kage. "Besides the universe or whatever would give you some, like how Atsuko got a Quirk despite her not having a character."

"That's true I guess," Kage sighed, "anyways, the fight was insane! I'm so mad I lost though."

"Yeah, your fight was pretty intense," Rina answered, "by the way, what happened to Kyoko?"

Kage scrunched her face up, "I'm sorry Rina, but she..." Kage sniffed, "she didn't make it..."

Rina stared at her, "wait wh-" before she could finish what she was saying All Might's voice rang out from the front of the room, "No, no, Rina your friend Kyoko is fine, she overused her Quirk so she's in Recovery Girl's room resting." Kage giggled as Rina glared at her.

"The VIP of this match was..." All Might announced, "drum-roll please, Kage!!"

"Woah, congratulations!" Rina turned and grinned at her, quickly forgetting about what had just occurred between them moments before, "Never would've expected you to ever get VIP."

Kage rolled her eyes, "Gee thanks Rinrin," she said back, "always nice knowing that you have such high expectations of me."

"Does anyone know why Kage was the VIP of the match?"

"Because I'm awesome duh," Kage leaned over and whispered to Rina.

Rina laughed, "You're lame what're you talking about?" she answered as Kage glared at her.
