My eyes were wide open as I stood in front of the window in my room of the hospital. My heart was beating fast and I could hear my blood spread in my veins. It almost felt irritating hearing those things but it made me calm down. Even when it was just a little.

I was shocked about my senses. I didn‘t lost them at the place where I had the accident. No, they‘ve grown much larger and were better than ever before. I never felt this way and even when it was new I knew it was good.

I could hear the doctor screaming at an intern. I could see a squirrel on a tree across the whole park. I could smell the spaghetti carbonara in the kitchen two floors below me. I could taste the glass of beer I took before I crashed into that car.

My muscles tensed as I remember the crash.

The fire.

The people who were hurt.

The huge fire.

The cars which were kinda like cut in half.

The fire that almost killed me, but a young man pulled me out of it. I heard his voice whisper:

„Be safe when I leave.“
