The Broken Crow

Chapter 5

(the next morning) 

Hinata woke up and his head throbbed when he got up. He touched his forehead and got out of bed, going to get ready for morning practice. The events of the previous night came back to him, but there were a few holes in the memories. 

Once Hinata was ready, he went downstairs, saying good morning to Shurui. She greeted him back and handed him some toast with jam spread across. Hinata thanked her and went back up to the bathroom after, searching through for some head ache medican, and taking one pill. Once he had done that, he went into their room and grabbed his school bag and vollyball clothes and left the house, only to be greeted by Kosai standing there, waiting for him. 

"Hey!" Hinata said to her, smiling. She smiled back and the two started walking. Halfway through the walk, Kageyama was behind them screaming. Hinata squeaked and as Kageyama was about to run into him when Kosai picked him up lightly and moved him out of the way. Kageyama tripped, falling to the ground. Hinata laughed at him, and a tick mark appeared on Kageyama's forehead. 

"Dumbass! And who the hell is that?!" Kageyama snapped at the boy. 

"A friend of mine, now lets go!" Hinata chirped to Kosai, and the two set off again, Kosai painfully aware of Kageyama following them. 

"What the hell go you even want with Hina~chan?!" she asked the boy. 

"It's cool he's on my team, he may look mean but it's all just an act." Hinata chirped to the girl. The whole way to school, Kosai and Kageyama were glaring at eachother. When they reached the school gates, Daichi and Suga were also arriving. The girl turned her glare from Kageyama to Suga, daring him to say something. Suga flinched a little, not going unnoticed by Daichi. 

"See you later!" Hinata chirped to the girl who smiled at him and left the group, watching them carefully as she left. Suga looked at Hinata, shocked that he was back to his normal self. Hinata smiled at him and ran up to the clubroom, changing quickly and ran to the gym before everyone else even got there. 

The rest of the team slowly came in, and Suga looked horified. Why would Hinata's new friends do if they saw all the people around him? He thought. He didn't want to think about it.

(time-skip to lunch because what the hell am I suppoused to do durring class) 

Hinata stood up and walked outside, having found the two joints earlier, and walking to the stop he had been the previous day. Hinata stood there, trying to find a way to light one of the joints. Suddenly Esu walked up to him. 

"Here." they said, throwing Hinata a lighter, which he caught with ease. What he didn't know was that Suga had told Daichi what he had seen, and the two were in the gym. 

"Thanks bro." Hinata said, lighing the joint and not eating his lunch. The two stood there, smoking the joint and talking about random stuff, not noticing Daichi and Suga listening to them. 

"What should we do? These people are obviously bad examples but how do we tell him to stop hanging out with them?" Suga whispered to Daichi as they watched to two outside smoke, suddenly, they heard two loud voices enter the gym. 

"Hey Captain! Sug-" Tanaka started but was cut off by some shushing. Tanaka and Noya looked very confused, but did as they were told. 

"Ya so anyways, I can't tell them, they would-" Hinata started but froze when he heard the loud voice of Tanaka in the gym. 

"Since when did people eat in the gym?" Hinata wondered outloud, wanting to see what was going on, he jumped up to look through the window, and was met face to face with Suga. He stumbled backwards, and would have fallen if Esu hadn't caught him. 

"What the hell?" they asked, not knowing what was going on. 

"Some uptight fuckers were stalking us is what, lets go somewhere else." Hinata mumbled to the other, taking another hit of the joint. He picked up his stuff and led Esu some where else, away from the gym. 

"Damn it Tanaka! You blew out cover!" Suga said to the bald, who just looked confused. 

"What were you even doing?" Tanaka asked, looking at the suspicious looking duo. Daichi sighed. 

"It's fine, let's just go." Daichi said, grabbing Suga and following the other two. Tanaka and Noya following them. 

"Ugh, can they stop  following us. Their not even quiet." Hinata mumbled to Esu. The two kept walking, keeping just out of ear shot from their presuers. They kept talking, and passing the joint. When lunch was almost over, Hinata took one more hit of the joint and handed it to Esu, who took it and left, saying bye to Hinata and passing the vollyball stalkers on his way to the gate. 

"Hey! What did you want with our kohai?" Tanaka yelled at the tresspaser. 

"Oh? You must be the people stalking us, well... for Hinata's sake, I hope you stay quiet... and your own cause we're not leaving him like you all will soon." Esu said to the group, making all of them shiver, except Tanaka, who had an intimidaing look on his face. Soon enough, Hinata came around the corner, face palming at the sight before him. 

"Let him bee!" Hinata pouted as he walked up to Esu, giving him a big hug and chuckling a bit. 

"Their so easy to trick." Hinata whispered to them, causing Esu to chuckle a little as well. 

"See you later Hina~chan." they said, leaving the murder of crows. Hinata ignored them and walked to class, saving the other joint for later. 

(timeskip to afternoon practice because I said so)

"Hey Hinata, what are you doing after school?" Noya asked, the events from lunch in the back of his mind. 

"A friend is picking me up and we're gonna get some ice cream." Hinata said, actally happy, but not fully because of the ice cream. They would also most likly be smoking and drinking as well which brought the short boy more excitement. Noya looked at him for a moment. 

"Holy shit Shouyou! Do you have a girlfriend?" Noya exclaimed, getting the attention of the whole team. 

"I'm gay so no. But I actually have some pretty good friends outside vollyball surpriseingly." Hinata said to the shorter boy, who sulked for a moment at his kohai's uninterest in girls when he remembered that Hinata had said he was gay. 

"Well do you have a crush?" Noya asked, wanting to know all of the details. Hinata sighed, not wanting to get into it, he stood up and rushed over to Kageyama. 

"Hey! Set to me." Hinata demanded, pushing Kageyama onto the court, when there was a knock on the door and it opened slightly to reveal Cass looking in on them, and Hinata's eyes lit up. 

"C'mon, the others are already at the ice cream shop." she fake pouted, and Hinata ran out of the gym. Practice was over, they were doing individual practice, but as Hinata was about to leave the gym, Daichi stepped infront of him. 

"Who's that?" He asked politly, gesturong to the girl at the door. 

"A friend of mine." Hinata said, easily sliding around Daichi, but being picked up by the back of the shirt, causing Hinata to yelp in surprise.
