Six Months

Tea & Indirect Kiss

Juvia sent Gray a message to invite him over for tea and breakfast, she couldn't believe she did, she was supposed to be over with all her feelings towards him, but something in him changed. 'It won't hurt, is just breakfast and tea, plus.. I'm going to be out of Magnolia in 5 months or less if I do my job good enough.' Juvia started rambling on her head and didn't noticed the time, she laid on her bed and thought about Gray, the time passed and suddenly she heard the door. *Knock-knock* Juvia jump from her bed and looked at herself in the mirror in front of her, she was still in her pijama, with her black silk robe and her hair in a pony tail, she quickly let her hair down and apply a little blush and some lip tint. 'Damn it, damn it! What was I doing instead of getting ready, and this man is now knocking. Ok, Juvi calm down, is just a friend, you aren't going to marry him or anything.' Juvia said to herself to calm down. Took a big breath and got out of her room, she went to the front door and opened it.
And there he was, dressed in dark jeans and a navy blue v-neck shit, and a smart watch on his left wrist with light blue bracelet. 'Hey' Gray said softly, scratching the back of his neck and slowly looking up to Juvia's eyes.
'Good morning' said Juvia with s giggle. 'Come in, come in'.
Juvia went to the back of the kitchen bar, heating some water on a light blue kettle and chipping some fruit. 'Would you like some kiwi and dragonfruit? I have some watermelon too.' Juvia said. 'Yes.. let me help you with something.' Gray said going where Juvia was.
-You can bring two tea cups from the counter across the kitchen, bring some you like.- she said and turned around. Juvia saw Gray's ears from the back and she thought she saw them with a hint of red. 'What is he thinking? He has been a while checking the tea cups'.
-Oh my God, what did I saw... Her.. her..robes are loose.. ok.. pick up some tea cups and sit down.- Gray said for himself. He walked to the dinner table where Juvia arrange with some Cristal bowls with fruit and a glass tea pot filled with flowers, she slowly added hot water from the kettle and  sat down, it was a beautiful scenery and Gray couldn't take his eyes off of her.

.. cups..
Gray...' a fading voice was filling his mind while the smell of flowers and tea filled his head.
'Gray the cups!' He snapped out of his thoughts and handled Juvia the tea cups.
-Are you alright? You seem weird- she asked.
-I am perfectly fine... - taking a sip of the cup.
-So... How's work? - she asked
- Not as good as you...- Gray muttered.
-Excuse me?- Juvia asked, resting her cheek on her hand.
-Nothing! Nothing!.. how is your work..??- Gray said taking a sip of the tea
-It's fine, I have a lot of work-
-That is good, I saw some of your work online..- he said
-Oh, really? Looking for a gift for your girl?- Juvia asked, but she didn't knew why she said that.
-My girl.. hmm, I'm single Juvia-  Gray said looking into her deep blue eyes.
-Oh... Well.. and did you like what you saw?-
Gray gave a smirk and kept his eyes in Juvia's.
- Oh no! I mean.. online.. my designs- She said blushing and covering her noise with her slim pale hands.
-Yes, I liked them very much, you are very talented.- Gray said drinking more tea.
Suddenly he saw that he had one teacup near him and the other in his hand.
-Did.. I ? - he asked
-You have been drinking from my cup- Juvia said.
-Sorry...- Gray gave the tea cup back.

They had breakfast and talk a little more, it was perfect, Gray was so happy talking to her and she seemed to be enjoying herself too, Gray was in complete bliss, Juvia looked so beautiful talking about her job, focused and happy, he wanted him to be the reason she was happy but remembering he let her down a long time ago, he felt like a loser, trying to get her back before 5 months now, he was losing time, he had to ask her if she was still in love with him, because he, he was falling deeper and deeper in those ocean eyes.

-No, your phone is ringing
-Oh shit!... Excuse me, just a little
Gray walked to the window and answered his phone.
Juvia stared at her reflection on the kettle and saw he robe was loose, she quickly closed it. 'I hope Gray didn't notice... ' she thought. Oh my, she was wrong.
Gray ended the call and sat down. 'Work.. I got to go.. '
'Sure, thanks for coming and I hope you enjoyed the tea.. it was the one you brought... Thanks' she said walking with him to the front door.
Before he crossed the door he turn around and saw her. 'Ju, I ... You... I mean... Would you like to have dinner with me?' he asked.
'I think I'll be lovely' she said with a smile.
'its a date then' he said with a smile
'a.. date.. date?' she asked
'No! I mean... Friends dinner..?'
Juvia saw how ashamed was Gray asking her for a date, she had some bad flashbacks about him and that almost stopped her, but today was lovely so she accepted.
'Yeah... Friends dinner.'
Gray held her hand. 'You won't regret this.' with a low smooth voice he said.
Juvia closed the for behind her and crumbled on the floor. 'This man...'

The end of the month was near and Juvia was full with work, she wasn't been able to go see her friends of to go for a run, she was at the border of loosing her mind, plus because of the online meetings with her Boss in Paris she had her computer full and her cellphone ringing a all time.
-For the love of all the good things, I think its time to hire an assistant.
