As i began to wake i became conscious of the blinding light from the sun that made my head pound. My eyes watered from how bright it was. All i could see was an empty room with nothing but the chair i sat on and a table across the room from me. i must have been hit pretty hard on the head since i had no recollection of how i got into this room or how my hands were tied to the chair. Suddenly a tall but muscular man wandered into the room casually with a rather haunting smile upon his face and said, "How are we this morning darling? You put up rather a good fight but yiu never really stood a chance against me."
"No because you have to pick fights with people half your size to win." i snarled at him. I was tied to a chair i was not ready to take sarcasm from a man who had me tied to it.
"I am a busy man Penelope i don't have the time nor do i have the patience to mess around with you. so lets get this done quickly, you tell me where your father is hiding the information and ill let you go, but if you don't then i guess i will just have to kill you." he said in a patronizing tone.
"Do you honestly think i am going to tell you where it is while im tied to a chair?" i asked hoping that he might untie me. This was a very risky game to play since i had no idea what information he was talking about and where my father had hidden it. The man was walking reluctantly across the room. The only sound to be heard was the clicking of his shoes against the floor as he made each step closer to me. As he drew closer my heart started to pound as if it was going to break out of my chest.
He stopped abruptly when he became about a foot away from me and moved his head up towards mine and whispered into my ear "You will never fool me girl, I may be old but i am not stupid. "
He appeared very calm and relaxed like he had all the time in the world to wait for me to tell him where this information was. "What do you want this information anyway?" i casually asked him hoping it would help me to find out exactly what it was he was looking for. Although I did not know this man until a few minutes ago I could tell by his body language that he was not going to stop until he had what he wanted.
The man walked out of the room standing bolt upright slightly resembling a ruler, he walked with such presence as if he could quieten a room full of people just by walking through the door. I stared blankly into space deciding on what I should do, if I give him the information I save the world but if I don't then I'm only saving my father. I needed to find a way to do both. My thoughts were interrupted by the man walking back into the room carrying a plate of food and a bottle of water. "is any of that for me?" I asked the man.
"if you try anything I will hurt you so think carefully Penelope ." he said almost daringly whilst undoing my hands from the chair.
Now that he'd brought me food I did start to feel the hunger kick in. I ate each mouthful of food slowly because I knew that I was not likely to get anymore food for a while. I also had a headache because I was slightly dehydrated.
"Back in your chair my dear if you would." He ordered me whilst taking my hands behind my back swiftly. His grip was tight around my wrists making it slightly uncomfortable. Despite having been tied to a chair all day so unable to move I was considerably tired. Since I had not cooperated with the man today I knew I was going to need to tell him something tomorrow to keep him off my back. But for now I just wanted to sleep and so i drifted off..
