Hearing Vero and Chi talking had woken me up. I try to listen what they talked about, but they suddenly stopped. "I told you to watch the candle!" Vero had yelled soon after that.
"How could I know that the air would blow a paper in the candle!" Chi voice holds fear and a hint of guilt.
They moved what around while Vero managed to yell, "I said watch the papers below the open window!"
I finally decide to open my eyes and look what happened. I see them both standing around the small table, Vero had just putten something on the candle to take it's breath away. I then realized Chi is holding a shoe while putting out the fire that's liking the paper.
I walk to the table picking up the paper that's on fire and then continue to walk to the sink. I drop the paper in the sink before it touches my hand. Then I blood cold turn the tap on watching the fire burn from the water. I then proceed to look to them, "Was that so hard?"
"We aren't badasses that just pick up fire!"
I try to shrug it off, but Vero has other plans. "You don't just touch fire! What the hell were you thinking!"
We both began to clean the mess up while hearing the lecture from both Vero and Chi. I just agree to them, but as soon they stop I already forgot the half they said.
We packed our stuff and checked out.
We drove through the small town, I looked around for the last time. When we were leaving the town I had the urge to back already, but it wouldn't matter. The girl from last night probably already forgot me. Or she would already sleep with another girl.
Why did I even care? Last night was fun though. It was silent in the car that sometimes interrupted by Chi's giggles. She was texting Billie all the time. Vero was listening to some person talking about a theorie.
Today's plan was driving home with one stop. I got my headphones out of my pocket to listen to some music myself. I then proceeded to scroll through my phone. Eventually I caught myself staring at a picture of Chi in a swimsuit from this summer.
What's wrong with me? Why? I pushed the picture away. I closed my eyes trying to fall in sleep.
I got woken up to find out we were in my home town. Had I slept so long? Apparently.
I said goodbye to them and walked in my home. I got welcomed by almost everyone, Kim and Yin were probably at college. I had to tell them a thousands times that I'm fine. My grandmother and mother stuffed me with cake and pies like that's the last change I can eat sweets.
They didn't once ask why I did what I did or how it felt like. They only asked if I had fun or if I was okay. Honestly I was happy about that. I was afraid they would ask the obvious question, but they didn't.
It was Monday and I got a ride to school from Vero. We got to Chi's place to pick her up. She gave us each a lollipop, "Now you look extra cool with those bruises and stitches." I roll my eyes smiling.
I got out of the car walking to the entrance of the school with Chi by my side. When someone noticed me he let his buddies know, and soon everyone was looking at me. "Thanks for the lollipop, I indeed look cool now." I whisper to Chi. We both begin to laugh and continue to walk to our lockers.
Before we got to Chi's locker Luna was in front of us. "Why didn't you tell me you were going to the biggest festival from this season! Even Shawn Mendes was there! and how did Billie know your name!" I got a private concert from both of them.
I tried ignoring her, but I saw no way out with all the people around me. "Piss of Luna. Why would you care. If you cared you would ask if she's alright. Can we please go to our lockers, we don't want to be later." Chi said bumping into Luna.
