The snakes tie

~Wednesday~
Dolan Magee was a tragic mess. Potions class started in 5 minutes and he couldn't find his tie anywhere. He thought about going back to the slytherin dorms to get another tie, but didn't have enough time. " Where is my FuCkInG tie!" Dolan whisper yelled to himself. He racked his brain wondering if he could find any useful information. Just as he was about to give up, he heard the nickname given to him by the one and only Harrison Pendrake. "Hey snake, hey reptile," Dolan pointed to himself in disbelief. He'd always found the Gryffindor head boy attractive but never in a million years would he think 'Star' as he called him, would ever willingly talk to him without it being a tease. "You lose something?" Harrison asked as he held up the green and silver tie, just out of Dolan's reach. "Hey! Thats my tie give it back!" Dolan eternally groaned, he knew it. "Here take it back." Dolan reached for the tie being offered to him. Harrison snatched it over his head at the last second. Dolans eyes had a look of murder in them. "Aw what's the matter snake, you scared?" Star asked teasingly "Or do you wanna fight about it." Dolan took his wand out of his vest pocket and took a stance right in front of Harrison. By now all of Harrison's little gang had left leaving the two of them in a ghost town of a hallway. "Hey.. uh your kinda cute when you get mad." Harrison's ears turned red at what he'd just said. "Come again." Dolan said with venom dripping off of his words. "I uhm gotta go Quidditch practice." Dolan smirked, "no you don't. We have potions in about three minutes, i'd suggest you give me back my tie before i crucio you." Harrison's throat was dry, he didn't have a comeback to that. So he did the only "manly" thing he could, he ran to positions class. Dolan ran after him, "Star" he said through gritted teeth. Harrison stopped and turned, "What was that." He said in a mocking voice, stepping closer to Dolan. Dolan took a step closer to him leaving only inches between them. "I said Harrison, what did you think i said?" Dolan tried to cover up his lie, but the light blush dusting his cheeks was enough for Harrison to notice. "Your blushing" he whispered, he figured anything above a whisper was violating something. "No i'm not! Dolan Magee doesn't blush Harrison Pendrake. Now give me back my tie bef-," Dolans defense was cut short by Harrison's friend Sea coming into the hallway. "Dolan, Harrison? What are you two doing out here... together?" Dolan opened his mouth to speak but closed it again when no words came out. "We were just having  a discussion, right Dolan?" Dolan nodded and took two long ass steps into class. Harrison stuffed the tie into his back pocket and followed suit.

~Potions Class~
Dolan couldn't get Star out of his head, probably because he was sitting 3 rows in front of him. Dolan was the tallest person in the class at a whopping 6'1, so he got to sit in the back of the class, plus he excelled in potions, and divination. Star wasn't the best at potions and he was shorter than some people in the class, Harrison, Sea, and Leo sat at a table together in the left corner of the third row. "So, Harrison... why were you with dolan?" Leo asked with a smirk on his face. (An 😏) Harrison's ears turned pink as he pulled the tie out of his pocket. Sea gasped, "you didn't! That was a dare you didn't have to do it!!" "I know" Harrison said with a wide smile "I wanted to, his reaction was cute." Leo raised his eyebrows as if to say 'what'. "Harrison stop be a softie we get it your in love with him but calm down." Sea said trying to hold back laughter. "SEA I AM NO SOFTIE HOW DARE YOU!!!" Harrison yelled. Professor V slammed his wand down onto his podium. "IVE HAD ENOUGH HARRISON GO SIT IN THE BACK OF THE CLASS WITH MR. MAGEE!" He roared, Harrison quickly shot up, gathered his things, shot Sea a death glare and walked to the back of the class. He sat across from Dolan who scowled and rolled his eyes. "Guess you aren't the favorite anymore, huh head boy" Harrison slumped further into his chair this was going to be a long period.

~ Amortentia~
Professor V assigned all of his students to make Amortentia the most powerful love potion in existence. His instructions were
Brew the potion with a partner
(no already existing couples)
smell the potion
document the smells
compare with your partner
seems easy enough right? Not for Harrison and Dolan, for all they knew the other hated them. They might just find out what the other is thinking.
Harrison looked up abut 5 minutes into the brew to find Dolan looking back at him. "Need something?" Star asked with a fake annoyance. "As a matter of fact yes, i do, i need the lacewing flies." Harrison sighed and gave dolan the lacewing flies. "thanks." Dolan responded to his sigh a little disappointed "no problem."  Once the potion was done brewing it was time to smell it, Dolan already knew what he smelled because he brewed it in 5th year. Harrison looked at dolan as if telling him to go first, Dolan raised his eyebrow and star nodded. Dolan leaned forward to the Amortentia cauldron and took a big WHiFf. The second he did the smell of the quidditch pitch came to his mind, along with sea foam cologne and bertie botts every flavored beans. Harrison, he smelled harrison. His head shot up and his blonde bands hit him in the face. " Dolan?" Harrison asked genuinely concerned. " What'd you smell." Dolan snatched the parchment and quill from harrison's hands " don't worry about it." Dolan said through gritted teeth Harrison smelled the potion and told Dolan what he smelled, "pages of a new book, uh treacle tart, and wormwood." Dolan got an idea. "Harrison, smell this book," Dolan picked up his favorite book and turned to a random page. Harrison smelled it and looked worried "yeah that's it, how'd you know?" Harrison asked, then he realized, he might actually be in love with Dolan Magee. "Dolan, what's you wand made of?" "Wormwood with a Phoenix feather core, why?" Dolan looked over the brim on his glasses.  "Your favorite candy is treacle tart isn't it."
Dolan sat up slightly alarmed. "yes, it is Harrison how'd you know that's my favor- oh" Dolan realized what star was getting at. He looked down at the parchment and smiled. "You smelled me didn't you?" Harrison nodded. Dolan put a hand over his mouth to contain the 'awww' about to come out of it. Harrison noticed this and said, "What it's not like i have a crush on you." Dolan laughed at that, he slid the parchment to Harrison. He looked up at Dolan and smiled his ears turning as red as his robes. "Aww looks like Doly has a crushhhh" Harrison said i'm a very mocking tone. "You shut up, meet me in the supply closet after dinner. Don't be late." With that being said the bell rang everyone gathered up their stuff and left to go their next class or break period. Harrison walked out of class with Leo and Sea, grinning from ear to ear all the way back to the common room. He felt the tie in his back pocket and remembered he didn't give it back, the supply closet may be beneficial for more than snogging.

Add on: Dolan was walking back to the dungeons when he felt for his tie of course it wasn't there, he forgot to finish his tie interrogation on harrison. He didn't mind to much though. He has to tell Astrid when he gets back to the common room
