Her War

chapter 1~

It's been winter ever since I could remember. Every one stayed inside unless it was necessary, such as to get food, supplies. I Don't know why it's this way, no one ever really talks about it. Some times I hear stories from my parents about how when that were little there used to be other seasons other than winter. My favorite that I've heard them talk about is the spring. I'd love to see all the color popping right out of the ground, after our long, very ling winter. we don't have much color any more, . only reds for supply delivers jackets, so they can be seen in the mountains of snow every where

Sometimes I wonder what we did to deserve this winter, why this planet has to suffer because of our actions. Scientist who have been studying this coldness for years still don't know the answer. But they have ruled out that it's a ice age. They also know that the other side of the planet is experiencing a summer, and we know they are all dwarf from heat stroke, or diseases, like the globe stopped spinning. That's our nest answer for it, but why did it stop spinning.

I cant help but wondering, no one can.

Today it's my day to go get more fuel for the house, no one pays for anything anymore because, we've all learned to share our resources.

I layer on a blue sparkles sweater, and an undershirt for that. I head down stairs to the closet and pick out my neon pink jacket, in case I get lost some one can see me, which happens quite frequently to say.

I start to walk down what I thought was the sidewalk, barely walking because, we just got at least another ten inches of snow and the plowers haven't been out. I felt colder than I usually do, the temperature might of dropped, which happens so often that it's hard to keep track of. One more step .I scream, I fell down a hole of some sort, about 50 feet at my estimate, I thought was going to die but surprisingly I dropped down with only a slight swoosh. Darkness and.....warmth surrounded me.
