It was a cold autumn day when I first met Donghyuck

It was a cold autumn day when I first met Donghyuck. I went out to visit a nearby park and get some fresh air. I hadn't been to this park in a while, but I missed it so much. I used to come to this park with my mother, father, and older brother all the time when I was a child. I used to listen to my mother describe how the leaves changed colours from a dull green to a vibrant red, yellow, and orange. I could never actually see these colours, but the way my mother's eyes lit up in excitement every time we came here never failed to make me happy. Mother always told me that one day, when I met my soulmate, I would see the colour of the leaves too. These memories easily became favourites of mine. These memories made me truly love this season, and just made me wish I could see colour.

There had been many large maple trees outlining the park that day. Their leaves slowly falling to the cold ground. I found a small bench for two and sat down. At the time, there hadn't been many people at the park, but it was to be expected due to the cold weather. I had been seated at the bench for roughly an hour, staring mindlessly at the trees when a stranger sat next to me.

"The colours of the leaves never fail to amaze me."

His voice was soft and comforting, just like the gentle breeze that swept around us that day.

"I wish I could agree, but I can't. I haven't found my soulmate yet."

My voice came out in whispers, hinting him to my discomfort at being without a soulmate. He didn't turn to look at me but just softly giggled. I was confused. Why was he laughing?

"Actually, I haven't found mine either. I just like to come to the park and have people describe to me what the colours look like. It makes me feel a little bit better about not having met my soulmate."

I looked over at him in shock. When I turned to him, I wasn't expecting to see anything new, but my whole world changed in that split second. We locked eyes, and everything around me exploded with colours. Every colour imaginable splashed onto every surface around us. It was an outstanding feeling, one I wished would never go away.

Instead of focusing on anything else that day, I focused my eyes on him. He had light brown hair and sparkling brown eyes. His skin had a light tan, and it was fair to say I thought he was beautiful.

"Well, I guess just met her. My name is Donghyuck by the way, it's nice to meet you!"

He stuck out his hand for me to shake, I placed my hand in his introducing myself as (Y/n).

Our relationship had blossomed from that moment onwards. Donghyuck made it a point that our dates had to be colourful since we'd been missing out on colour so much in our lives. On our first date, he took me to a flower field far away from the city. We both admired the flashing colours of the flowers and the beautiful greens of the field.

For our next date, Donghyuck took me to the beach. He said his mother talked endlessly about the rich blue colour of the water, and the sparkling golds of the sand. When we got there, Donghyuck instantly reverted into a child. He excitedly rolled the ends of his pants, and ran into the water. He came to regret that later as the water was freezing, making his lips a shade of icy blue.
