Lost In The Stars

"Liam, wake up" my mother says, standing next to my bed. "Okay, I'm up" I reply. My mother leaves the room and after a few minutes, the smell of bacon fills the house. I slowly get out of my bed and go to the bathroom where I take a shower, brush my teeth, and dress myself in khaki pants with a plain white t-shirt tucked in them. I grab my black and white converses and head to the kitchen.

I sit at the table and go through my texts from Danielle. The texts read "hey babe, you up get?". I turn off my phone and begin to eat the bacon my mother has prepared. I feel terrible for doing this to Emma. Danielle has bullied Emma since the third grade, and I feel that somehow I am betraying her.

I finish my food and tell my mother goodbye. I get into my car and drive to Emma's house. I love Emma, as a friend of course, and I hate feeling as if I've betrayed her. I listen to some shit music on the way to her house and think about my sappy thoughts all the way there.

When I arrive, I wait a minute before honking. But when I do, not even a few seconds later Emma walks out, beautiful as ever. I whistle at her because it's my job as her best friend to make her feel good. Her long, blonde, wavy hair blows in the wind. She gets in my car and looks at me. "Really? Do I look that good?" She asks. "Always" I reply. We listen to music on the way to our pointless, preppy ass school.

When we arrive, she looks over at me and says "well, I suppose this is it". I look into her bright green eyes and say "I suppose it is". She hugs me and walks out of the car. I hear a couple of boys whistle at her and I glare at them. One they see the look I'm giving them, they discontinue their whistling.

I walk to my first period which happens to be the first door to the left of the school, lucky me. I walk in to see my ex girlfriend in that class. "Great" I mumble under my breath. Courtney is still obsessed with me and continues to stalk me, lucky me.
