"So, just how many times are you gonna sneak out so you can go places?"

"Uh.."

"The idiot's lucky her mom hasn't removed her from school yet."

The girl's shoulders drooped at her fiery friend's words. Katsuki was right, it was amazing her mother hadn't pulled her from school, let alone the hero course. She didn't even know what her mother would do to her when she got back from this trip. Or what she would do when she finds out she's also sneaking away to go to the forest training camp. But here Kaida was, boarding a plane, next to Bakugo and Kirishima, going to the one and only I-Island for I-Expo.

It was a struggle convincing Bakugo to go since he was the one who won the Sports Festival. Since Kaida was the third-place winner, she was invited as well, and she was sure Todoroki was invited as well. Then again, he is the son of Endeavor. Kirishima just invited himself to come as his plus one. Kaida didn't get that option, but she was happy to stick with the two. It seems, whatever had happened during the Final Exams had made her classmates more protective of her instead of scared, and she didn't quite understand, but she was happy it made them closer. Even if Bakugo's nagging was starting to get on her nerves.

"The only reason that happened was because you're not eating enough! Eat more and maybe you won't lose your goddamn mind and try to eat someone next time!"

He meant well, but... She figured he didn't know exactly was happening either and that was just the best way he knew how to show he cared.

As the plane finally took off, Kaida gripped her seat, closing her eyes as she tried to steady her breathing. "Will you knock it off? You're gonna put a hole through the damn seat." Katsuki's voice called out to her and she peeked her eye open to catch his annoyed glance. She gave a nervous laugh as she slowly let go of the chair, opening her mouth to issue an apology before she felt the plane tremor. To anyone else, it might have been normal. To Kaida, not so much. Her hands flew up to the arm resting beside her, gripping it tightly. Katsuki jerked from her. "What the fuck, Red?! Don't grab me!"

"S-sorry!"

"Hey, calm down man, she's just a little scared-"

"I am not scared!" Kaida defended, making the two of them exchange glances with raised eyebrows. "I can fight classmates, robots, even villains! I can get impaled and live. I can propel through the air like a badass. This is just another robot. That's flying hundreds... of miles... above the ground-"

"A plane can only fly up to seven miles high." The blond remarked, crossing his arms as he leaned his head back.

"...Really? Are you sure?" The question made the redhead in front of her laugh, him opening his hand.

"It's okay if you're afraid. If it helps, you can hold my hand until you're feeling more comfortable." She looked between his face and his hand, shaking her head with a smile before catching a glimpse of the ground miles below. Her eyes immediately widened as she turned her attention back to the male, switching seats and quickly taking his hand with a tight grip.

"Hah- You know what? How about I hold your hand so you feel safe? Yeah?" He snickered before nodding, gently holding the maroonette's hand.

The rest of the plane ride was pretty quiet since it was just the three of them. The poor girl couldn't even nap because she was too terrified of the plane going down, and the turbulence didn't help her nerves. It's safe to say she didn't let go of Kirishima's hand the entire time. Finally landing, Kaida was the first to get off of the plane, not even looking back at the two behind her. The moment she was on the ground, she collapsed, taking in deep breaths as her two friends joined her on the ground, Kirishima setting her suitcase down beside her while waiting to be led around. Katsuki crossed his arms as he watched her look ready to be sick. "Didn't think Ankle Biter would be scared of planes. Guess you really are human."
