It took us thirty minutes to reach our destination.
This Thursday was just like any Thursday, except I was on a mission. I left school with my friend,Isabel. We were finally going to see our friend Benjamin after five long months. We had to go from ACT to Valari's Martial Arts. It is quite a long distance away, so we decided to get a ride from her dad. He refused. So we walked.
We started walking and talking at the same time. We walked through Windham Tech and then through Easter Connecticut State University. We checked the time 5:05 "LATE!!" I thought. We kept walking chatting at the same time. Before we knew it we had reached the end of Summit Street, it would be so long before we even reached the end of Main Street, where the road forks. Minutes later we finally arrived to where the road forks. We stayed to the left because, if we went right we would have ended up at Tuckie Road. The sidewalk ended near the gas station that is the end. So we walked on the side, never daring to go past the white line that marks the side. When we neared the plaza we got super excited. As we were standing we saw Isabel's friend Tyler he was leaving but said he would be back. We approached the porch that was in front of the building waiting, for tyler to return.
We didn't want to be seen because it was a surprise. Tyler returned, the class was not over so we chatted a bit. Tyler didn't know me so I introduced myself. He was going to apply for ACT. Time went by and finally Benjamin's class was over. We stood waiting for him to leave. He walked out of the door, his shirt was a blue Valari's shirt. As soon as I saw him get outside I ran and hugged him, I was leaning on him a bit so we kind-of twirled around. After the second turn I released him. He asked why I was there. "My friend has class here. I was visiting" I replied. Which was a lie, partially. It was only chance that Tyler was there. Isabel hugged him too, and tried to take a picture with her phone but he kept putting his clothes in front of it. "No. You already have enough pictures." He said. We kind-of whined a bit, for we only had but 2 pictures. After we exchanged a few words he left with his mother. We waved goodbye. Then thought "It only took us thirty minutes!"
