"I hate you," I spit out at him.

"Back at you, blondie," he says scowling, before he shoves his hands in his pockets and stomps off.

The next afternoon after school, Bakugou and I were cleaning the gym. I was scrubbing the bleachers, and he was wiping down the floor mats. I walked over to where he was to dip my brush into the bucket with soap and water, which was right beside him.

"Stay on your side," he muttered angrily, not even looking at me. I put my hands on my hips and pursed my lips together.

"Kacchan, I have to get water for my brush. Must you be an ass?" I say. He turns toward me angrily.

"I SAID STAY ON YOUR SIDE!" he yells. As he turns back around, I feel my fists ball up. Before I know it, the water in the bucket goes flying everywhere on him. I see him freeze as I cup my hand over my mouth. I burst out laughing.

"Hahaha! Bakugou-, I-, I'm sorry," I say between laughs. "I didn't mean for that to happen."

"YEAH, RIGHT! I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" he says, sparks flying from his palms.

When I finish laughing, he still looks mad.

"Oh come on, Kacchan, it was an accident. I really didn't mean to do that." I say wiping a tear from my eye.

"DO YOU HONESTLY THINK I BELIEVE YOU? YOU DID THIS ON PURPOSE!" he yells again. Now he's making me angry.

My face twists in rage and I look him dead in the eyes and say, "Look, Kacchan. It really was an accident. So get over it." As I say this i push my finger into his chest and nudge him back a little bit. He grabs my hand and throws it back down near my side.

"I'm gonna get you back for that," he scowls.

"Tch, whatever," I say to myself. As I grab my brush, I go back to cleaning. After about twenty more minutes at it, I turn around to say something to Bakugou, but he isn't there.

"Kacchan?" I ask. No one answers me.

"Hey, Bakugou!" I yell out. I still get no answer.

"This isn't funny, Bakugou. We're supposed to be cleaning," I yell. He's really starting to annoy me. I put my brush down and decide to look for him myself. I go into the boys locker room, hoping he might have slipped in there. When I open the door, he's nowhere to be seen.

"Damn it," I said aloud. "I thought he might be in here."

Just as I turn around to leave, the lights cut off and I feel someone grab me. I try to scream but they have their hand over my mouth. They push me into a wall and I go still. Then the lights flick back on and I see that it's Bakugou. He starts laughing so hard that he can't catch his breath.

My face turns red and I yell, "That's not funny, Bakugou! You really scared me! I thought you were going to kill me!"

"Oh, don't be so dramatic, blondie. It's just payback," he says laughing lightly now.

"Fuck you," I muttered as I start for the door.

"You wish," I hear him mutter. I feel my face get red again as I turn around.

"You are such an asshole!" I yell. "Like, do you ever give it a rest?" He leans against the wall nonchalantly.

"If you can't take it, then you shouldn't have got on my bad side." I step closer to him.

"You seriously need to learn to chill," I say as he scoffs and rolls his eyes. "You think you're all that. Well guess what? You're not." He stands up straight now, looking me dead in the eyes.

"I am the best in Class 1-A. I'm going to be the Number One Hero. I'm better than any of the other extras in this school," he says.

"You're not better than me," I say confidently.

"Psh, yeah. With what? You and that pathetic quirk of yours?" he laughs. I step closer towards him again. So close that we're almost touching.

"Okay, then. I challenge you to a rematch." I say.

"What?" he says confused.

"A rematch. Of when we sparred." I say.

"I'll just knock you on your ass again, blondie," he says smugly.

"Bring it," I say in his face. "I'd like to see you try."

"Deal," he says scowling holding his hand out for me to shake.

"Deal," I say shaking his hand.
