"Lauren get your ass up your over sleeping on the first day" My mom yelled throwing a pillow at my face laughing

I groaned in agony, from parties and staying up my sleeping schedule was fucked I wasn't ready to be getting up 5:30 in the morning. I finally sat up seeing my clock said 6:30, I quickly got up knowing school started a 7:10. Thanking it was the first day so it doesn't matter if your late plus Im already registered since I went there for 9th grade registration day I thought to myself.

I grabbed my towel and headed to the bathroom and turned on the shower. I took a quick shower and got out and looked in my closet. Since it was still hot outside , thank god winter hasn't started yet I thought, snapping back to reality I grabbed my denim washed capris with my "FLAWLESS" top that showed my belly a little and some sandals, I threw on some mascara and lipgloss and just let my hair stay straight.

I soon rushed down stairs and told my mom lets go after scarfing down my bagel my mom made me. We left out the house and she drove me to school and I got my schedule and headed to my spanish class . I looked around and saw everyone , I could tell this class would be turnt seeing that all the hype people in here .

I headed to second hour to see this one girl I had in first hour and say in the seat next to her . This girl was gorgeous I mean im not gay but she was. She was light skin kinda caramel and had braces , she stood about maybe 5'4 or 5'5 . She had in Thot braids was my immediate thought but then again who didn't have poetic justice braids. She made them look classy though, she wore some skinny light washed jeans and a just a cute top with some chucks . I said hey breaking the awkward silence she responded saying

"hey"

"Im Lauren , and you a-

I was immediately cut off by some loud mouth girls, arguing. Me and old girl turned to look and who did I see ? Raina and Shantae . Raina had an bad attitude and was just a snob , Shantae on the other hand was just irritating but me and her go back to elementary even though we don't talk anymore. These two were arguing over a notebook on the floor me and the light skinned girl gave each other that what the hell look and immediately laughed. So they continued to argue so me and the girl told them to stop being petty and shut the hell up , they both looked puzzled in shock but they asses stopped. Me and the girl kept talking until the teacher finally came back from the library and got our attention. Before the lesson began the girl tapped me and whispered

"By the way my names Mariah" she said smiling

I noticed that I had her in all of my first four classes. We talked all day and even better we had lunch together. I must admit this girl is cool as hell but then we parted our ways

I got through my first day back pretty well I saw all my old friends and met some new ones. So I found out I rode bus 87 . I got on the bus and heard someone calling me

"Lauren, Laurennn"

I looked around confused to see Mariah , I smiled at her going towards her

" Over here girl sit with me , seeing Iono nobody bruh"

I laughed " alright girl and lol you gonna get to know people, you are new here"

"Yea I guess so, but any ways girl how was your day?"

"It was okay same old stuff S last year, how about yours"

She was about to talk until some tall boy came and sat in the seat in front of us. They began to talk and laugh like they knew each other for years , I was confused as hell. He was in our forth hour but they didn't talk so how do they know each other

"Uhhhh Mariah I thought you didn't know any one" I half smiled

"Ohhhh Lauren this is my twin brother, Michael"

They looked nothing alike but I rolled with it And said hello being polite . We all talked the whole bus ride home until it was my stop , I said bye to her and her brother and got off with at least 3/4th's of the bus. Many people got off there but as soon as I got off I got in the car after spotting my mom. She asked me about day I began telling her about it till someone caught my eye . It was some fine boy but I didn't pay any attention. Once we arrived to the house I was tired as hell , all we had was syllabi to get signed so I immediately took off my clothes, rinsed off then out on some pink shorts and tank . I pulled out my phone and kiked my two best friends Jordan and Nikki.

Those two were my ride or dies. We was all cool so that made it even better

Jordan: so how was your first day of 9h grade ?

Me :It was alright I met this girl , she's pretty and chill but hold up ima add Nikki to the chat

Nikki : hey Yall

Nikki:nothing special shit

Jordan: I gotta go my phone bout to die and I'm not at home , bye baees

I put my phone on my charger and went in the living room to watch my little sisters Donica and Rocky. They was so bad but I loved em to death. They started telling me about their day . Hours had past and my mom finally got home and That's when I ran upstairs to lay across my bed , "Finally" I thought. I took out my phone to see many messages but I just ignored them I turned on my tv until I got to vh1 and turned on love and hip hop, and fell asleep
