Finding out.

Hi. My name is Emma, and I have a hidden power. I don't know what it is yet, but I will find out tomorrow. It's my 13th birthday tomorrow. I'm so excited, but scared. I was twisting and turning all night. And what felt like internity,  it was finally midnight. I felt... Different. But in a good way, if that makes sense. I walked to my desk, and get a piece of paper. I made a mini target. "Okay.... Time to see what I have" I whispered to myself. "Okay, three, two, one!" The paper floated. I was surprised. I moved my hand to the right, and It moved to the right. I finally let the paper go, and went to my bed, just looking up at the ceiling. Zoned out. Then I fell asleep after a while. It was the next day, and I woke up to the sound of my alarm. Six am. Great. I got up, went to the restroom, did my hair, brushed my teeth, and got my clothes on. Then, a crowd of my family surrounded me. "What's your power!?!" My mom said exited. I then looked at the chair, and put out my hand. Then, I used my power, and the chair flew in the air. Everyone looked surprised. Then, I set it down, and left for school. It was June, so it was the last day of school. I was walking, when I heard my crush walk over to me. "Hey what's up?" He said shyly. I have liked him for a long time, but where best friends, and have been since we where like 4! But then, I cought feelings really quick. "Not much. Oh! I got my power today!" I said exited. " I mean, of course, your my best friend I know when your birthday is goofball. Anyway,Can you show me your power?" He replied. "Sure." I told him. Then, I took off my backpack, and made it fly. Then, I dropped it and put it back on my back. "THAT'S AWESOME!" He said as he looked in my eyes. All I saw was happynes. Then, he backed away, and and got ready to show me his. His birthday was long time ago, but he waited for me, so we could show each other at the same time. But before he could, my group of bullies surrounded me and my crush. (Btw my crushes name is Noah.) I pushed him out of the circle. Then, they traped me behind a wall. "NOAH! GET OUT OF HERE." Then, he backed up, but didn't walk away. "Oh, calling for your boyfriend to run!?" One of them said. "stop" I said quietly. "Watcha say?" They said being annoying. "I said STOP!" I used my power when I said the word stop. They flew and landed and just looked at me. Shaking. Getting ready to run away from me, and never get close to me again. Noah looked at me in fear, and so did everyone else. I ran to the girls bathroom. I couldn't control my power yet. Especially since I just got them. I sat in one of the stalls, and the room started shaking. Thank God  no one else was in there with me. I was mad, scared, confused.... That's why it was happening. I then put my my hand on one side of the stall, both of my legs on the other sides of the stall, and my other hand on the toilet paper thing.  I was taking deep breaths, and it finally stopped. I then sat normal, and just sad on the toilet seat. I heard a boy's voice. "Emma? You okay? It's Noah..." He said concerned. "Y-yeah.." I said crying. I then ran out of the bathroom and hugged him really tight. He hugged me back, and we ditched school together. We ran to my house, and we where just hanging out, then he was the first to talk. "Oh! I never got to show you my power!" "Oh yeah! Can you show me?" I said exited. He got up, and put his hand out, and fire appeared. Then, he took it out, by shaking his hand down and it stopped. He sat back down next to me. I want to confess my feelings for him so bad right now, but I'm to scared to. What if I tell him I like him, and he friend zoned me? A lot of "What if's" ran through my mind at 1000 miles per hour. I don't know what to do. I start shaking unexpectedly, and I don't know why. He noticed, and held my hand. I blushed a little bit. "Hey. My parents aren't have. Wanna practice our powers!?" I said happy. "Yeah sure let's go!" He replied. We went to my back yard, and I made him float. Then, I had a marshmallow on a stick, and he cooked it with his powers for me. "This is so good!" I said mumbling because my cheeks where filled with marshmallow. He laughed, and practiced to himself. I did the same. After we where done, we just relaxed. "Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for today. You know.. helping me." I said shy. "Your fine. That's what best friends do." He replied. "Oh shit! I've gotta go I'm sorry. It's 4:00, and my mom and dad will know I'm gone soon. Bye! Stay safe!" He said rushing out the door. "Okay bye!" I replied. I was just in my thoughts, when my parents came home from work. We just hung out, and before you I knew it. It was the first day of many.  It was Summer.
