"SymPHONy".........
Phon
The ring of the final bell rang as the professor finished his lecture, I hurriedly wore my cap and sped my way through the stream of students and went out of class with my head held down and behold I was stopped in despite my efforts.
"Phon were you trying to escape us?" Mee, my friend of ten years, said with a smirk while the rest of the group nodded in agreement. Mee is built like a tree, but more a silent giant totally opposite to me when it comes to personality. I like being loud and expressive while he sits there and observe.
"Hey, let's head to the the cafe I'm starving, you lost the bet fair and square now you gotta pay up and buy us our food" Kit uttered. He was the oldest among us but we treated him like the child with an attitude cause he's the most childlike but the sassiest.
"Fine, and fyi, I wasn't escaping you guys" I divulged with a nervous smile "Don't you bullshit me. I know you, Phon" Mai, the only girl in the group playfully said as she thumped my shoulder lightly. Mai became our friend because she supposed that girls strain her too much, gossiping behind her back, saying she isn't girly enough, well they aren't wrong, plus she's acts masculine, maybe it's because she has four older brothers, you name it and there were no other girls in her family except her mom.
Chet was awfully quiet, and if you know, Chet , he is as loud as they come because he would be whispering but the next door neighbor would still hear him. "Dude something wrong?" I said while his eyebrows furrowed.
"Nah" He mumbled shortly , and I know something was really up, but the subject matter wasn't pursued anyway.
For a moment, I was sporting the harshness glare I could have mutter but I tried to be a normal Phon.
Chet wrapped his arms around my shoulders and we made our way through the hallway, clustered by crowded students. Becoming the Dance King was a huge step. When I was little, I always wanted to dance, yeah, of course, it's my passion and apparently, I dreamt of taking huge strides in turning my dreams into reality. Well, it was my father who enlightened me with the poetry of movement. That's what he metaphorically professed in his sophomore years. I really didn't want to pursue Law but even just after my life turned 360, I felt that I wanted to. Inclined in the faculty with my friends and by all accounts, my popularity, you'll never know what could go wrong.
