"I never noticed, your eye." Nik's fingers traced under her right eye. He'd stared into them so much he was surprised he hadn't noticed before. The two were laying in his bed facing each other, Letha had agreed to stay the night at his, though was absolutely exhausted after her dance show that she'd fallen asleep before her head even hit the luxurious pillow. It was morning now and Letha would admit that she'd woken up before Nik to brush her teeth with the spare toothbrush... and steal a little of Rebekah's concealer.

Not everyone can look perfect in the mornings unfortunately.

"Oh yeah! My right eye has a permanent lens implant because I had a pencil shot in my eye, it ripped out my cornea," she shuddered at the memory alone, "it's always diluted and I still can't see out of it."

"How did a pencil go in your eye?" She giggled at his angry tone, stroking his bare chest softly as she gazed up at him.

"I was six, I held the pencil up to my eye because I wanted to see how sharp it was and Elena accidentally stumbled into me — bish bash bosh, pencil goes in my eye and here we are." (before anyone calls letha a stupid bitch for this... it is slightly based off real events. i didn't rip out my cornea or anything but the whole holding it up to my eye and someone stumbling into me and stabbing myself is true — in my defence i was like in like year two).

"And you just forgave her?" The look on his face reminded her of Rudy when he was confused and made her giggle.

"Of course," she shrugged, "she cried and cried all the way to the hospital — I've honestly never heard anyone apologise so much in my life." The small laugh she let out died as a frown pulled at her lips, fond memories of Elena pained her and she wondered if perhaps she'd been too harsh on her sister?

"Oi!" The door was thrown open by an impatient Rebekah, "Stop hogging my best friend! We have a ball to get ready for." With that she stomped back downstairs in a huff.

"Ball?"

Both Nik and Letha looked at each other skeptically.

That's how Letha found herself sat besides Rebekah getting her nails done, while Klaus's brothers got their suits fitted. Letha felt a little more than intimidated as she sat in a room full of originals. Though she supposed Elijah had been kind in greeting her, and Kol had his own way of being friendly. Finn on the other hand did not seem to like her at all, "Why is Niklaus' harlot here?"

"Dude!" Letha glared at the guy — yes he had a right to be grouchy with his brother after being stuffed in a box for nine-hundred years, but she didn't have anything to do with it, "You know I'm getting a real anti-me vibe off of you."
