The sun beat down on my back as my boyfriend; Tegan scored the last touchdown of the game. He ran towards me and kissed me, yelling, “I did it, Ember!”
“Yes, you did!” I say to him, as I kissed him back. We ran hand in hand towards the parking lot, filled with excitement and joy from the adrenaline that the game caused us. I slipped into the passenger seat of his car.
“Are we still going on that double date with Stacia and Chad tonight? I asked Tegan, who was slipping into the driver side of the car. Stacia is my best friend, she met Chad, last week, which actually happens to be a really good friend of Tegan and so we hooked them up. “Of course, babe,” he says back to me with a smile on his face. He started the car and drove to my house to drop me off, so I could get ready for the date.
When, he dropped me off, I literally skipped up the driveway; I was filled to the brim with happiness and excitement. I walked in, ignoring my drunken mom, once again, I wasn't going to let her ruin, this wonderful night. I hurried up the stairs and got to my room, shutting the door behind me. I searched my closet for the perfect dress until I found this aqua colored dress that seemed perfect for the occasion and looked too pretty to pass up, so I took it out, laying it on the bed. I grabbed some blue heels that matched perfectly with the dress. I slipped the dress on and put the heels on. I hurriedly, but efficiently put on my make up and do my hair.
As soon as, I finish putting the last stroke of mascara on, I hear a honk outside, knowing it's time to go. I look in the mirror, one last time before I hurry down the stairs to my “Prince Charming” waiting below.
