Niall Horan looked at his quiet, still best friend, Zayn Malik, with a saddened expression, "Hey, Zee." He said weakly, "Natalie left for America today. She said things weren't going to work out between us." His voice started to waver and silent tears spilled down his cheeks, "Zayn, please talk to me. I-I miss you." He whispered, "I miss you so much."
Zayn didn't move from his position of staring at the wall blankly. Niall couldn't take it. He stood up and walked out of the room as fast as he could. He slammed himself against the wall beside the door and put in his face in his hands crying softly. Zayn hadn't spoken to him in a long time. All he ever did was stare at anything but Niall with no expression what so ever. Niall could easily blame the medication, but he knew that wasn't the only reason. His sobs raked through the, what he thought was, empty hallway.
"Are you okay?" An unfamiliar voice said making Niall snap his head up. He saw a boy who looked about his age, had brown eyes, brown hair and a expression that conflicted between concerned and uninterested.
Niall sniffled wiping away his tears, "My best friend was diagnosed with schizophrenia three months ago and hasn't talk to me since they threw him in this place. Not to mention, my girlfriend dumped me and ran off to America. So what do you think?" Niall's tone was borderline snippy.
The boy simply said, "You should be grateful."
Niall looked at him oddly, "What?"
Then a familiar woman yelled down the hallway approaching the two, "There you are! I've been looking every where for you! You're not aloud to roam the halls like this!" Jessica, a nurse here, looked at the blond boy and smiled, "Oh hey, Niall, how've you been?"
Niall smiled convincingly, "Fine." Liam cocked an eyebrow at him.
"That's good," Jessica then turned her attention to the other boy, "You need to go back to your room. Can I trust you to go straight back there while I check on Zayn?"
"No," the boy said in a monotoned voice.
She rolled her eyes, "Please just go. I would prefer not calling someone to escort you there." She turned back to Niall, "Can you help me with Zayn's shot? I was suppose to give it to him earlier, but this one," she motioned to the brown haired boy, "has kept me busy."
Niall knew how Zayn was when it was time for his daily shot. He fought back..hard. After being Zayn's best friend for years Niall knew that Zayn never liked shots. He nodded, "Sure, I'll help."
Niall looked at the boy who had yet to leave. He didn't smile as he spoke, but then again he didn't frown either, "Bye, Niall."
Niall watched the boy walk away with wonder. How could he be a patient here. He does seem a bit off, but way too normal to be cooped up in a place like this.
"Niall," Jessica said catching his attention. He followed her back into the room.
Time for Zayn's shot.

Sorry I didn't start writing this earlier and by earlier I mean five months ago. I was busying writing my other Zarry stories and I was going to start writing this about two months ago but I lost the papers that had the story dialogue and ideas and stuff like that on it.
But, I'm back!
Hope you enjoyed this I'll try and post the first chapter soon, but I've got to edit a few ideas and all that stuff.
Love you guys!
