Scared Heart [Levi x reader]

Prologue

I can't believe this. The titans have broken through the walls. I didn't know what to do. I knew I had to find my family. But I wasn't anywhere near the house. I had to sprint towards the house. This was mayhem. I was three year older then Eren. Yes that's right I'm a Yeager. I was heading to the sign ups for the training corps. Yes I know my mother would flip if she found out but I had to do this. I hate being trapped behind this walls. I feel like I'm prey waiting to be eaten. Which is only half the truth. I wanted to make it to the top ten and join the scout regiment. I don't know what I'll do if I don't make it. It wouldn't feel like a life worth. I wasn't exactly the type of girl to sit back and let myself get eaten. I know I was as most people in town would say 'heading to my death'. These people don't like people that want to leave the 'safety' of the walls. They were all so stupid. They just didn't want to risk their life's. It was annoying.

I made it back to my family home to see my siblings trying to lift our house. I don't know what they were doing. I ran closer to see something I wished I hadn't. Our mother was under the rumble. There was a boulder on top of the rumble. We would never be able to lift the rumble. I still ran to help. I didn't talk to them. I just started to attempt to lift it. It wasn't going to work. I knew it wouldn't work. Mr Hannes had ran over claiming to be able to kill the titan and save us all. I knew he wouldn't be able to but I was just trying to get my mother. I couldn't lose faith in him yet. He hadn't done anything yet. But I do have a valid to reason to not have any faith. Mr Hannes was drunk when I last saw him. That couldn't have been that long ago. Mr Hannes ran up to the titan only to turn around and grab Mikasa and Eren, I couldn't register why he had left me. He hadn't even told me to run along side him. I just stayed there still trying to lift it. I know there is a titan heading straight for me but I just wanted to try. I felt useless. I hadn't even told her about me signing up for the scouts. This wasn't the time for that. I knew it wasn't but I couldn't life knowing she didn't know. I was about to tell her when someone swooped down a saved me. "No put me back. I need to tell her something. It's really important. PLEASE PUT ME BACK" I yelled up to the SCOUT,"OH MY. I didn't know you were a scout. I'm sorry I wouldn't have normally did that"

"It's fine", the mysterious scout said.

I didn't say anything I just nodded. I already felt guilty for yelling at him. "Wait, while we're zooming through the air, I have a question. Would it be okay to ask?", I asked as nicely as I could.

He nodded.

"Okay thank you. Do you think I have what it takes to be a scout?",

"It isn't what I think, it's what you think about yourself. From what I saw you never wanted to leave that woman. That shows that you are dedicated and loyal. You have no idea how many people will run from a titan. You don't even have the correct equipment to kill the titan yet you stayed. I have one question why did you stay back and help her, or attempt to help her? I'm very sorry to say this the titan was too close by to kill it and save you. I'm so sorry."

"That woman was my mother and I was only asking because I've signed up for the..."

"I'm sorry for your lose but don't bother joining the training scouts. I'll convince Commander Erwin to let me train you in my spare time."

"Who are you by the way?"

"I'm surprised that you haven't been able to guess but I'm Lance Corporal Levi Ackerman"

I couldn't say anything after that. One I was gobsmacked and two we had landed inside Wall Rose at the Trost District. "Thank you" I managed to get out before he left.

"Oh yeah. Go to the supply building it's the big grey building in the middle of the Trost at midnight if I'm not there just wait I'll be there soon.", Levi yelled back to me as he used his 3DMG to get back to Shiganshina and Wall Maria.

I had ran around Trost looking for Mikasa, Eren and Armin it didn't turn out well though. I couldn't find them. I had started to fear the worst. I couldn't keep running around I had to just give up soon. I had no other choice I had to stop looking. It was nearing midnight and I had told Levi I would meet him at the supply building.

I had just arrived at the supply building a little bit earlier then midnight to see Levi stood there with Erwin except they only looked like they had just gotten here.

"Hello, I'm [Y/n] Yeager."

"We know who you are and before you freak out we checked the training corps sign up list. I'm Commander Erwin..."

"Or as I like to call him Commander eyebrows"

"Levi not right now please. Anyway from what I've heard from Levi is that you want to join the scouts. You also must have caught his attention as he wishes to teach you himself. If you had the option for him to teach you, would you allow him too? No matter how difficult or painful it would be?"

"Yes, I don't care how painful or how difficult. I wish to join the scouts, that's all I've ever wished for. I hate being trapped inside these walls. I wish to be able to see the outside world, after reclaiming it from the titans I will work as hard and as well as I can. "

"That sounds like the right attitude to have. Don't you think Levi?"

"Yes it sounds perfect. Wait how old are you [Y/n]?"

"I'm 13."

"That's the perfect age."

"Thank you so much for this you have no idea how happy this has made me."
