The pounding of feet sounded as a father ran off with his daughter. He had her clutched to his chest. "Wait here," he whispered. The girl hugged onto herself, squinting her eyes shut. Her father ran to grab their bags as she waited by the car. It was cold that night and the rain was pouring down on her small figure. She shivered, watching her dad rush back out with the cases bouncing off his legs. Her sibling poked his heads out, tears falling down his faces.
He shouted, but their mother only pushed him back in. She glared out at the other two, watching as her husband placed their daughter in the car. "I hope your gay friends can take care of her! You don't know what you're doing, Daniel!" He only stared at his wife, silently slipping into the car and pulling out of the driveway.
"It's okay, Y/n. We'll be there in no time," he whispered, continuing the ride. She stared out the windshield, her small brain not comprehending what was going on. She soon fell asleep when her dad put some childish songs on for her.

The had arrived, car someplace else. They had held onto each other's hands, the older one guiding her ahead. He explained many things, but she wasn't paying attention. Her eyes focused on all the androids everywhere. She was captivated by how human they looked and sounded. The girl even went to the extent of speaking to one. They stepped outside of the small building, her father pulling a map on his phone. "They'll be meeting us, okay? You haven't seen them for a while, huh, sugar?" He looked down to his daughter with a smile.
"Who?" He pat her head, following the directions that was laid out on it. They stopped, an android bumping into her and her father.
"Sorry," Daniel chuckled, pocketing his phone and sticking his hand out. "I wasn't watching where-" He was cut off by three loud bangs. The girl stared at the deviant, watching as it looked to her with shock.
"What do I do? I have to care for her now." He jumped up, quickly picking her up. Fear and shock controlled her, one telling her to scream and cry, but the other told her to be quiet.
"Da...ddy?" The android glanced down to her, shaking his head.
"I'm sorry, but we'll live together. We'll be a family," he gave a small laugh, setting her down and holding her shoulder. His eyes looked like he was afraid. "You'll be fine!" He picked her up again, running off. She stared as her father's body got smaller as they ran.
"Put the girl down!" The police followed after, stopping. She turned to look at where they were heading, staring at the wall.
"Where are we?" She whispered. He set the girl down slowly, pointing the gun to the group.
"Girl, come here." She looked to the policemen, then back to the android.
"Get out of the way, you dumbasses!" A man stumbles forward, panting. "Y/n! Come here, mon ami! Come here, chere," he squat down, arms open. She shook her head, looking up to the android.
"We live together?" He nodded, just giving the group a scared look.
"Don't move or I'll...shoot her too!" The girl only looked back to the group. The man who tired coaxing the girl forward slowly stood up with his arms raised.
"Mon...mon ami...you don't have to shoot the girl. You've shot Daniel, that was enough." The android picked the girl up, hiding the gun to her head. Then, she began to cry. But never screaming out.
"I said don't move!" The girl then struggled, screaming and kicking.
"I want daddy!" Something rang through the air, the girl falling to the ground with the artificial human on her. Footsteps rushed over, two males dropping by and picking her up.
"It's okay, bébé. It's okay," the French one clung onto her, pulling her close. "It's okay." She clung onto him, sobbing.

The girl sat on the bed, staring at the tan male. "Why? Daddy will come home." He looked up to the other, hearing his sigh. "He said we were going to live with his two friends!"
"And we're his friends, mon ami." They seemed younger. Maybe they were just friends when he started their job. They couldn't be more than teens themselves by the look of it. She hadn't smiled as she looked down to her feet.
"Daddy's coming back?" The male hugged her, patting her back.
"Sorry, mon ami. He's gone." She hadn't moved, only staring ahead.

Through life, she's had neverending night terrors. She went to the doctors, getting medicine for it. The Frenchman didn't appreciate it because he didn't want her to live on medicine the rest of her life. He reverted back to tea and the shooting actions of a mother. They got a call from her brother, breaking the news of her mother's death to her at the age of 16. She lived with sadness and anxiety since due to the terrors. She had left with her friend, making the terrors worse. Seeing her friend dead before her hurt her more than hearing about her mother's death.
She ended up taking the android puppy in, getting a new dog after the ending of her years of a cop in training was over. She stayed by the side of Delaney, her Irish friend, so she never climbed the ranks of a policeman. She had trained every day on running and strength.
Soon, she was called to help with higher cases, meeting Hank along the way. It took her a year, but she got used to the lieutenant, even ending up at his home to play with his Saint Bernard. She's always had the underlying feeling of sadness and anxiety, always wanting to stay away from other people.
