(Aidan's POV)

The tears started pouring down my face. Ruining my already smudged makeup. My cheeks now blackened with my cheap drug store eyeliner and mascara.

Whatever. It doesn't matter anymore. Nothing really matters anymore. There isn't anything left for me here... I thought to myself.

As I walked down the quite streets of Suffolk, my eyes never left the ground. My full backpack slug over my shoulder, making me lean over to balance the added weight. My headphones full blast in my ears, playing the only man I would ever listen to: Passenger.

I'm completely lost in my thoughts. Nothing could break me from my thoughts as I bumped into people.  How fragile my life has become over these past weeks... life sure has a way to kick you when you're-

I walked full on into something sturdy. I finally let my wet, tired eyes leave the ground and look at what, well more like who've I happened to walk full on into.

I had walked into some guy. God, he should have been watching where he was going... but then again I should have been too...

Even in the dark I could make out that the boy looked about my age, 16. He has bright orange hair, even in the glow of the dull street lights. His cool blue eyes bore into mine as I blushed for walking into him.

"Ops, sorry.." I said, side stepping around the boy, making as little eye contact with his blue eyes as possible.

"Wait!" he softly called, "Please?" he asked with a shy shrug.

"What?" I said retracing my steps ad placing my bag on the ground.

There's something about this boy that makes me want to trust him, but through everything that's happened, my brain is screaming to walk away.

"What's wrong?" He asked cautiously. I'm about to open my mouth to open I'm fine, but he speaks first. "I know you're not okay, your face is stained in tears and you've a bag that's bursting at the seems with your stuff."

"Well... Umm.. I'm not supposed to be talking to strangers... Especially when I'vw now become homeless." I said a bit surprised by the harshness and immaturity of my own words.

"Well, first this isn't kindergarten. You don't have to be worried. My names Ed, Ed Sheeran." a goofy grin spilling out on his lips. He held out his hand to shake and I took it, giving a weak handshake.

"My name's Aidan." I said shyly.

"That's a weird name for a girl." He said with a cheeky smile.

"Ya well Ed's a weird name for a boy!" I shot back, my tongue out at him.

I could tell Ed was trying to contain his laughter at my horrible comeback, and I couldn't either. At this point I couldn't care less. He's giving me some attention and making me feel more valued than I have ever felt in the past several years of my stupid life. We both burst out laughing, relieving all the distrust I felt for the boy.

After we finally stopped laughing he spoke up again. "Hey, umm... you said you where homeless, right?"

"Umm... yea...." I replied slowly. Even though I was starting to trust this Ed guy, I still don't know everything about him. There's always that possibility that he through me into his white pedo van, rape me and then kill me.

"Well now I guess you're not homeless." He said with an adorable grin and holding out his hand for me to take.

Screw it, how bad can he be? I thought to myself. I grabbed his hand and he pulled my through the many winding streets of the town until we stopped in front of a small, old house.

"This is home!" he said doing one of those show girl poses that they do on TV.

"Ohhh, ahhh!" I said cheekily.

"My Mum and Dad won't care if you live here. They love meeting my friends and shit." He said, pulling his sleeves over his hands and wiping his nose.

****

(Ed's POV)

As the first week of Aidan living her went extremely well, my parents agreed to let her live here with us until she could find a job and flat for herself. She paid a small rent, cooked, cleaned... basically everything my mom told her to do!

She's a beautiful girl. I think I'll have to write a song for her. She deserves it. Even though she hasn't opened up to me about her past, I've pretty much got her figured out.

She's got quite a good voice, but when it's on my tape recorder, she always makes me delete it. She always complains about her body. Her thighs touching, her stomach never being flat enough. She shouldn't complain though, she has a nice body. I've also noticed she always drinks tea with me before bed and when she doesn't she's always mumbling in her sleep. Did I ever mention he freckles? They're adorable. Her green eyes, our silly conversations late at night, the way she squeezes into her jeans... I think all these little things I've noticed about her add up to make her beautiful in every way possible.

I look around the room we share and my eyes finally land on  Aidan and her long black hair is a mess on her head as she sleeps. I think I could be falling for her.... I have no clue what she thinks, but even though it's only been a week, I'm going to find out her story. I'm going to make her feel loved.

"ED WHERE'S THE IPOD CHARGER?!" Aidan yelled at me from the bottom of the stairs.

"IT'S  HERE!" I called back from my room grabbing the charger and giving it to the girl. She can be a little bit demanding at times, but I'll love her endlessly. She's introduced me to a man name Mike but his stage name is Passenger. Aidan only listens to him on her iPod, and me.

We've decided we're going to Brighton to find him and become friends with the lad. Why? For two reasons. Aidan wants to meet him and I want to collaborate with him.

We leave today for the short train ride to Brighton. We have no clue when we'll be back but we're old enough to travel on our own, so who cares? We've spent the last two days packing. Aiden's been here for three weeks and we came up with our plan last week.

I'm hoping she'll open up to me on the trip.

"HAVE YOU BOOKED THE HOTEL YET?" I yelled as Aidan ran into the kitchen.

"DOING IT NOW!" She called back as I finished packing both our bags. We might have over packed, but oh well. Aidan has been working online for a company on her laptop so even while we're away she can work and make money. She's also my recorder since the studio is so expensive. Come to think of it she's gotten me in  a few times from her own money. Man I'm lucky...

"Okay let's go!" Aidan said shoving the paper with the hotel information into her bag. My parent's had said goodbye last night since they're both at work now. We picked up our bags, walked out the front door and locked it. Leaving  behind all we've known for the past couple weeks.
