Tamira's P.O.V.

Today was the big day we drove down the street and it was then we officially made it to our new neighborhood it was an average area the homes were nothing overly fancy but not too run down either. It looked and seemed nice for the most part.

We drove up to the driveway with the moving trucks following a few minutes behind; they arrive and we all get to unpacking. I got back down to grab another box when I hear my dad talking to some people I go around the truck to see who he's talking to.
"Ah, speaking of the devil here she is." My dad says greeting me to two very handsome strangers one with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, the other with dark brown hair and piercing blue eyes.
"Uh...hi," I say a bit nervous.
"I'm Lyal," the brown eyed boy said "and this is my brother Erik." He says as he puts an arm around the blue eyed boy. I must say Erik made me nervous, but in a good way. "Hey." he says with a charming smirk.
"These two kind individuals have offered to help us settle in with our boxes and furniture" my dad says happily, I gotta admit I was pretty happy too as well as relieved because honestly I did NOT want to move the furniture.

We continued to move the boxes from the truck to each room making small talk while doing so
Lyal asked, "So, where did you guys move from?" "Toronto." I replied shyly. "Toronto? What made you guys move here?" Erik added. "Well my dads business moved there department and it just so happened to be he worked in that department, so here we are."
"Oh true, well if it makes you feel any better you already have two new friends here." Lyal said and went back down to grab another box. Now, it was just me and Erik I felt so intimidated by his charm and intense stare I could feel myself getting flustered so I said "Erik, can you help me bring up some more boxes, I think I'm almost done." He chuckled with a smirk before saying "sure." and headed off downstairs. I waited a few minutes to mentally scream about how attractive he was, before heading downstairs as well.

"Alrighty that's the end of it, thank you boys we would have been doing this til midnight if it wasn't for your help." My dad said as my mom had an agreeing smile. I was on the steps until my mom told me to come down and thank Erik and Lyal for helping. I thanked them and was on my way to go back then my mom said "Tamira?! Where's your manners?" She snapped, "Mom I'm sorry I'm just tired" I said as I groaned. "That's no excuse Tamira, apologize to them please" she asked I sighed and apologized and told everyone that I was going to head inside.

THE NEXT DAY
I wake up in the morning at 6:40 take my shower get dressed have my breakfast brush my teeth then I do my makeup last but not least; hair. I pick through my thick curls til I'm satisfied with my look I take one last look in the mirror and head out to the car and off to school.
I pull up to my new school Bennington High and head into the school as I walk to my first class (I found out my classes online and had a school tour already)
I sit in my first period bored as anything I put my head in my hands and next thing I know its the end of the period. Second period went by pretty quickly which is good because I am starving as the bell rang for lunch I was dreading a bit because I didn't know anyone at this school until... "Tamira?" I turn around and to my surprise I see Erik immediately I feel relieved, flustered and nervous "oh, hi!" I say a bit taken back to see a semi familiar face. "I didn't know you went here" I said. "yea I could say the same." Erik chuckled "so, lunch by yourself huh?" He asked. "Yup." I sighed "well you don't have to be...I'll join, if you want," "sure..but you really don't have to if–" I replied before he cut me off by saying "I insist, I don't want you to be alone on your first day." He said.
As lunch was nearing its end I asked "erik? where's your brother?," I chuckled "aren't you guys like always together?" "Yea, most of the time we are but he went off to college just before school started so he'll be gone for the next 4-5 months or so, why?" He questioned. "No reason, I was just curious as to why I haven't seen your partner in crime around." I smiled at my witty comment followed by him chuckling.
I was walking to my next class a bit confused but not bothered as Erik walked with me.
"So what it is now, are you following me or something" I teased Erik. "No, no just making sure you get to class alright, why? am I not allowed to do that for my new neighbour?" He replied "well in that case thank you neighbour" we both smiled and chatted a bit more before it finally came to an end and we were outside my classroom.
"So I guess this is goodbye" I sighed being over dramatic. He laughed "no this isn't goodbye," he chuckled "however if you want...after school we could hang out" he said in a jokingly nervous tone. I mocked his tone and said "sure 🥺👉🏽👈🏽"  while shyly looking down. After that I carried on with the rest of my day.
