The Snake and His Star

When you turn 16 the first words that your soulmate says to you is written permanently on your wrist. It was Harrison's 16th birthday. His friends Leo, Sea, and Tressen made a surprise party for him. Harrison's day was pretty horrible, he got punched in the face, lost his quidditch game to ravenclaw, and broke his glasses. What he needed right now was an up boost and thats exactly what he got. He walked into the Gryffindor boys dormitory wanting to hop on his bed and cry. As soon as he opened the door he started laughing. There was balloons everywhere as well as streamers. He laughed at the fact that his friend Leo was standing in the corner with a lampshade over his head, and his friend Sea was giggling from the bathroom. He walked in and said,
"Man! I have NnNoOo idea who decorated the dorms like this, I hope it's not for my BiRtHdAYyY!"
He was trying to contain his laughter.
Tressen, Sea, and Leo jumped out and screamed, "SuRpRiSeE!!" Harrison rolled his eyes and started laughing again.
"Bro what are you laughing at?" Leo asked completely oblivious that he was the first one to be seen.
"First off, you have a lampshade on your head, Second off Sea was laughing from the bathroom!"
Sea looked girlishly offended "I was not!" Harrison nodded he knew he was gonna lose that argument. After a long night of partying 11:59 rolled around.
It was about time for Harrison to reveal his mark. "3....2....1!" The trio shouted. 12:00 a.m hit. Harrison pulled up his sleeve and had a look of confusion on his face. There was nothing there, he tried the other wrist nothing.
"Well?" Sea asked ignoring the confusion on Harrison's face, but that's how Sea was pretending everything around her wasn't happening.
"Nothings there Sea." Harrison said, his voice breaking at the end. Tears streamed down his cheeks he knew this day could've gotten worse, and it did. "I'm going to the room of requirement." Harrison sobbed, he grabbed a mini bag of Recess cups, a bag of Hot Cheetos, and a Pepsi as he walked out.

Harrison walked to the room of requirement with his head down. He ran into someone's back, jolting him to the floor, the person turned around and saw Harrison on the floor, rubbing his head.
"Oh shit i'm so sorry!" The person said holding his hand out. Harrison looked up and saw Dolan, his crush of 3 years and his enemy, but what a shocker doesn't everyone have a crush on their enemy whos also a GUY. His ears turned red as the electricity static's between the two boys. Dolan pulled Harrison up to he feet and smiled. "Hey why are you crying, isn't it your birthday?" Dolan asked. Harrison immediately shot back and wiped his tears away. "Yeah it is, I was supposed to get my mark today but t-t-there's nothing there!" Harrison said his voice breaking once more.
"Have you tried a black light?" Dolan asked, for once he actually felt bad, it was scaring him.
Harrison looked up, "I actually haven't thought of that, thanks." Harrison gathered up his snacks and began to walk away.
Before he could get away, however Dolan put his arm in front of Harrison stopping him from going and further. Dolan leaned into harrison's neck, feeling the heat of Harrison's ears on his face. "Happy Birthday head boy, i hope it gets better." Harrison smiled and nodded. Dolan removed his arm out of Harrison's way and he started walking back to the dungeons. Harrison began his journey to the room of requirement. Dolan got about 6 steps in the other direction (there were long ass steps because Dolan was 6'1) before he turned his head to look back at the head boy. Dolan saw him turn a corner, his golden snake bite piercing gleaming in the late night candle light of the castle; along with tear marks. Dolan smiled sympathetically to himself and continued is journey back to the Slytherin common room.

Harrison finally reached the room of requirement, he wished for a comfy couch, blankets, and a black light. He imagined the setup of this little hangout, and seconds later the door appeared. He pushed open the door and sat down. He opened his Hot Cheetos and Pepsi, he ate and collected his thoughts about everything. He took deep breaths and came back to his center. He took one last deep breath and held his wrist back up to the black light. He flipped the switch on and gasped. Right there written on his arm in very neat hand writing said, "Have you tried a black light?" Harrison smiled and started crying at the realization. Dolan Magee was his soulmate.

First chapter complete, mission accomplished.
