The thing that scared him shitless.

When In the dark, his imagination was dragged to places he had never been before, and never wanted to be in the first place. It was tragic, cause due to the sentimental fear of the dark he possessed, he couldnt enjoy things like normal people in their early 20's should.

he couldn't take long walks outside at night.
he was too paranoid.

he couldn't play hide and clap like in the movie,
he would have a heart attack.

he couldn't watch the stars at night, nor even look out the window at night.
he was too petrified something would jump out.

He couldn't do anything he really wanted to do.

He wanted nothing more than to dance in the rain, listening to music that soothed him,
Have the absolute time of his life,

but his mind led him to believe there's always something in the dark.

Something that could pull you,

Kidnap you,

Hurt you,

Kill you,

Anything that could intensify the immense fear he had.

And people always say,

Get over it, just go in the dark and nothing bad will happen, you'll be fine.
As if it's really that easy.

It gets to an extent,

Where when people tell you to get over it,

You try.

You try all because your so tired of both being paranoid and being told to stop being so paranoid.

You try to calm yourself down, make you seem less vulnerable, and try to enjoy the time you have, getting over that fear,

But sometimes, that fear comes to bite you in the ass when you least want it to.

Your worst nightmares, come to life.

They come to life and are worse than you ever imagined,

And even include people you thought you could trust with your life.

Which leads us to where we are now.
