A group of teenagers starts a creative writing group at the local library, but the club's true purpose is very hush hush. They're really a secret society, with strange rules and frightening initiation rites. At their first meeting, the most popular member forces the girls to sign an oath, promising never to speak of what happens each time they get together. If you break this promise you're doomed. Because once you've joined, you can't get out...alive.

Luego de agonizar tres días desvelado, estoy viendo a través del cristal, los cielos grises que se aproximan, veo como caminan las personas afuera, el tumulto sin sentido del centro que corre desprevenido, y aunque intente correr la mirada de su foco. se que esta ahí; Las luces se desgranan, como terrones de azúcar, y la visión se torna difusa cada vez que quiero enfocar la vista, como intoxicación con floripondio. comienzo de a poco a entrar en una especie de colapso donde se proyectan figuras y converso con ellas. Ya en el cuarto recorro de a poco la casa y la sombra negra parece estar jugando a las escondidas conmigo, Parece tratar de dominar mis pensamientos. Trataría de complacerme para luego encerrarme. Veo sombras, que se convierten en pesadillas de un rostro perfecto, el monitor comienza a mancharse y ya no puedo seguir escribiendo en la oscuridad. 30//3//2018 Alexander

A short story from my point of view

After pushing through another challenge, and basic training graduation on the horizon, Recruit Lansing thinks of her family as a new challenge presents itself in the dark.

Nyctophobia is a phobia characterized by a severe fear of the dark. It is triggered by the brain’s disfigured perception of what would, or could, happen when in a dark environment. It can also be temporarily triggered if the mind is unsteady or scared about recent events or ideas, or a partaking in content the brain considers a threat. [Examples could include indulging in horror content, witnessing vulgar actions, or having linked dark environments to prior events or ideas that disturb the mind.] . . . . *This story is NOT about the phobia, just a girl who is suffering from it. And a journey to escape it*

Hunter moves into her new house. She's new to being all alone, but unfortunately for her she's not alone. this old house holds darkness. Keep the lights on, or he will be there. ⚠️Trigger warning, not for anything specific just yet. This was based off a dream as most are, and it might go into a dark place. As always read with caution, and anyone under 13 probably shouldn't read this. Especially if you're scared of the dark.⚠️

Born from our childhood fears of the dark

Seungmin is at the dorms alone one night. The power cuts off during a storm and he's all alone, getting swallowed by the darkness of the dorms Aka- Seungmin has Nyctophobia, ( phobia of darkness) and Minho helps him through his anxiety

"In the night time, when it's dark and quiet, I see shadows....but doesn't everyone?" "yes...but what you see isn't the same as what others see..." Shadows- Reflections with no features, voices, or life.....or at least that's how it seems

*I do not own the cover art!* Hey guys. I know it's taken me a long time to get this done but I just couldn't figure out how to word this. Horror is my thing so this is a mix of romance and horror. I hope it isn't too bad Anyway! If there's anyone who thinks there's something I could improve the story on, don't be afraid to voice your opinion! I'm open to improvement.

You never outgrow fear of the dark.

This story is my own fantastical interpretation of the field of mental health. My career has been solely based on helping children overcome a world of darkness and fear, as well as strive towards a more fulfilling life. I was given the opportunity to write a short story to present to an Art Gala, which was a fundraiser for the employment for which I work, but this piece never made it. I hope you enjoy.

Fears

Everyone has something that they're afraid of: spiders, snakes, perhaps clowns. The real question is are you afraid of the dark? Read this spooky story and find out what happens when Blair gets a visit from ghosts.

I turned on the tv for something to watch when the news popped on."The world has been taken over by us humans fears. You will get paired into groups of two.Everyone today will have a scanner above there head that only they may see. Once you find your person the fears will begin. If you fail to find your person in the next 24hours you will automatically be killed." I turned off the tv fast. "No,this isn't real. It's all just a joke." I said nervously my breath shaking. Then I heard my phone ding.

At some point in our lives we have all experienced that childish fear of the dark. Afraid a monster will creep out from our bed and drag us down. The shadows slowly shifting in their nightmarish dance, but then the sun rises again and all is right. What if the sun didn't rise to chase away the demons of darkness? It has been nearly a millennium since the human race has seen the sun, and the world has been overrun by the embodiment of human fear.

If knowledge is power, what is a lie? When three young friends explore an abandoned mine in rural West Virginia, they make an unbelievable discovery. They learn a lot, the hard way, about people and the way the world works. Will their decisions stress their friendships to the breaking point? Were Mom and Dad right, or are they too old fashioned?
