The Birth

*Cantrelle's POV*

It was dark and stormy night. The rain fell in forrent, except at occasional intervals when it was checked by a violent gust of wind. The wind rattling over the house tops, which swept up the street.

People around the hospital were busy with their own matters. Some of them were wearing white coats, some of them were talking on the god damn human's technology called phone. There was a crying woman with anxiety on her face. Somehow, sympathy deep inside of me appeared as I read their minds. Each of them was hoping their loved ones to be safe.

I walked along the hospital hall, following my guts. Then, I stopped. I saw babies inside a room through the glass wall. They were so cute. He's not here. I walked away into a ward where I heard the sound of a crying baby. There, I felt a magical aura in the ward. One of the nurse was walking out from the ward. As she opened the door, I entered into the room. No one could see me nor felt my presence.

The baby was now calmed and slept in his mother's arms. The parents were so happy for their new born baby boy. "He got your eye, Harry." The mother smiled, turning her face at her husband. Harry smiled to ears and held the baby's cheeks gently as the baby was babbling. "Aww." They cooed.

"Maria" Harry called, without turning his face away from the baby. "Hmm" Maria looked at her husband. "What should we name him?" Harry asked.

Samuel.

A word came out from my mouth. I almost didn't realize what I just said. I could not tell why did I say that.

"Samuel." Maria said, planting a soft kiss on her baby's forehead. "Samuel Drew Clinston." Maria turned her face at her husband. Harry smiled and leant in closer to kiss his baby's cheeks. "Hey baby Sam, I am your dada." They chuckled as the baby babbling again.

As they arrived home, Maria put her baby into the cradle. Maria and Harry spent their time there until the baby fallen asleep. When the baby had slept, they walked out of the room cautiously and closed the door, not wanting to produce any sound that could wake up the baby.

I walked towards the cradle. Samuel fluttered his eyes opened. "You haven't sleep, little guy. Did I awake you?" I said, leaning closer towards the baby. A smile appeared at my face as the baby looked into my eyes and giggling. At this moment, the baby could see me because I appeared to not become invisible to him. He reached out his hand to hold my finger.

A visible small light appeared as he held my finger. Slowly, the light spread on his body. I could see some patterns on his little tummy and chest, which was shining brightly. As the baby released my finger, the visible light and patterns on his body diminished slowly.

From now on, I had to keep my eye on Samuel. It is now my responsibility to protect him from Vladimir.

"Go to sleep." I whispered. Then, I made myself invisible but the baby was crying.

Something snapped me. I never sit a baby before! This will be my first time. "What should I do? What should I do?" I tried to sooth the baby. "Don't cry, Samuel. Don't cry. Be a good boy." His crying was getting louder.

"Shhh baby. Shhh." Oh my god. This was not easy as I thought. I may protect him from Vladimir, but I didn't know how to take care a baby.

I put my hand on his head and gazed into his blue eyes. Your eyes are beautiful. I made a floating sparkling yellow dust in the air. His eyes were staring at the floating sparkling yellow dust.

"Close your eyes and start a beautiful journey in your dreamland, baby." I whispered into his ears. I used my ability to make him fallen asleep.

When Samuel's eyelids closed, I swiped off the floating dust using my hand then it disappeared. Then, I made a simple comfor t bed using my magic and made it invisible to. I threw myself into the bed, looking at the cradle until I fallen asleep.
