By the time I wake up it's one in the afternoon. Kaycee is thankfully watching television in our room so we decide to go out to the mall. When I get ready I put on dark blue jeans and a white tee I bought at pacsun with white air force ones. I keep my hair down because I'm too lazy to tie it up or anything. Kaycee wears light blue jeans, a tee shirt and a cream cardigan. Her outfit is basically the exact same as last time I saw her. I need a new outfit for the bonfire next weekend because it's important that I look cute to show everyone that just because I'm not in a sorority anymore doesn't mean that I don't have my spunk. I pass the bonfire news to Kaycee but she denies saying that she needs to stay ahead of the syllabus and Saturdays are going to be her days to catch up on work or some crap. We go to a few stores. I opt for the more revealing short dresses for all of the parties I will attend and Kaycee goes for the more reserved jeans and sweatshirts. While shopping I notice a "We are hiring sign" at American eagle so I take an application since I honestly have nothing better to do. While Kaycee tries on some clothes I fill out the application and leave it with the manager. By 6 we both get hungry and decide to go to the food court before leaving. We share a pizza while I give her information on classes. She's a law major and I'm a psychology so I don't know much about her classes or professors, so I can only give her advice on things I do know, like how early she should leave for class and to always and I mean ALWAYS bring coffee to class. Mid talking I see a group of boys walking toward us amid the group is the curly headed boy I saw at the mixer last night.
" Kaycee, Kaycee hide." I whisper. She does just that without even questioning me.
When they walk a little past us I get back up and let out a breath I didn't even realize I was holding.
"The coast is clear," I say to myself.
As soon as I do the curly headed boy turns around and when he notices me he smiles and runs over.
"Aren't you the hot girl I was talking too last night?" He questions.
He looks even cuter than he did yesterday. His curly hair is wet so he must have taken a shower without drying it and instead of wearing jeans he looks comfy in joggers and a blue short sleeve shirt. Kaycee looks at him then my quizzingly.
"I don't know about hot but yeah we did talk last night.." I chuckle.
"Yeah I remember you, you were uh, Brianna right?"
" No, I'm Brook." I correct. I didn't completely believe Anna yesterday, but now I think I do. I hear a chuckle from Kaycee but give her a glare that makes her stop immediately
"Yea that's what I meant. I'm Mike." He says.
Before any of this could escalate I start packing up the table getting ready to leave.
"Cool, look we have to go so I'll see you around." I say giving Kaycee another look for us to get the hell out of here.
"Ok well let me at least get your number-." He starts, but before he can say anything else we walk away well Kaycee walks I basically run.
" What was that?" She laughs uncontrollably as we get into my car. I tell her everything minus my dreams about him, because no one needs to know about that, but me.
