chapter 7: A nightmare

You layed in bed but something felt wrong. You were anxious but didn't know why. Oh well. You read your favorite book for a little bit then fall asleep. 
"(Y/N)! Get over here you little bitch!" Your stepfather yelled at you. The poor 13 year old you cowered at the loud voice of him. Before going to stand in front of him.
"Y-yes sir?" You ask timidly while looking at the floor.
"Why are your grades so fucking poor?!" He yells at you before slapping you across the face. "You should be getting straight As yet you're failing everything!" You get punched in the other side of the face and you fall to your knees. 
If only Kai was here… he'd save me…. brother please help me…. you thought wanting your older brother. He's 10 years older and lived in a different city though.
"Learn your damn lesson you little shit!" He yells and starts to kick your torso. "You don't deserve better than this! You should have NEVER been born!" He roars at you. Your ribs get stomped on and you let out a whimper of pain but other than that give no sign of reaction. Suddenly your nose hurts so badly, it's broken again. You start crying and you hear the door bang open. 
"What the fuck is going on here?!" your grandfather yells and pushes that asshole off of you.
Suddenly he gets a cruel look on his face and starts to hit you too. You're so scared by this and start crying harder.
"P-p-please s-stop…… G-grampy…… p-please….." 
Then your shoulder has unbelievable pain in it and Viper is there in his armor. You think he's there to save you but you notice his left eye glowing a beautiful shade of blue. 
"V-viper?" You asking timidly right before you notice a bone attack sticking out of your shoulder. "W-what?..." as you say that he aims another attack at you, a dog shaped skull, his blaster. Just as it fires you wake up screaming. 
"(Y/N)!" Viper says as he barges into your room wearing nothing but sweat pants. 
You jump and run to the farthest spot from him while crying and shaking. The top to your pajamas is opened to your bellybutton from all your tossing and turning. You drop to the floor and whimper while curling into a ball.
"Hey, (N/N), it was just a bad dream. Nothing bad will happen." He says softly as he approaches you. You just whimper more and he sighs. "I'll be right back." He says softly. 
@Vipers POV@
I leave (Y/N)'s room and pull out my phone. Pup looks at her door worriedly.
"Go in and see if you can calm her down will you? She seems terrified of me. I know Blue can help, I'm gonna call him."
"Okay bro." Pup said before going into her room.
I find Blue's name and press the call button. It almost rings out before he answers. 
"Viper, it is 2 AM….. this better be good….." he says sleepily. 
"Its (Y/N), she woke us up by screaming in her sleep and is terrified. Can you help?" I ask him
"Shouldn't you be able to help more?" He asks fully awake now. 
"I went in and she ran from me….. and seemed so scared when I came near……" I said as Pup comes out of the room shaking his head and in tears. "Pup wasn't able to help either…."
"I'll be right there with Red. Wait for us at the door." Right after he hung up.
I sigh and go downstairs to wait. A moment later Red and Blue teleport in front of the door. I let them in. 
"She's in her room."
@normal POV@
You hear Viper talking to someone downstairs and curl up more. All of a sudden you hear a knock on your door.
"Hey, Kitten, can we come in?" You hear Red's voice. 
"(Y/N) we just want to make sure you're okay." That's Blue! You grab your phone quickly and text him to come in.
Blue rushes in and gives you a hug while Red waits by the door. 
"Shhh, it's okay. Did Viper scare you?"
You just whimper at his question. 
"You know he'd never hurt you. He's really worried. He woke me up to come help you." You hug Blue around the neck and hide your face. "Is it okay if he comes in?" You nod slightly. 
"Hey, Viper, you can come in." You hear Red say.
After a moment there's footsteps that don't come closer than your bed.
"I'll stay away if you'd like." You hear Viper say softly and you hesitantly glance at him. No glowing eye, sad look in his eyes and a concerned look on his face. 
That wasn't a memory! It was just a bad dream. Grampy would never hurt you. Neither would Viper. You slowly let go of Blue and stand up. All the boys blush when they see the state of your top. You run over and tackle hug Viper to the bed.
Blue laughs some. "Well looks like we can go now. Night you two."
"Night." Red says and they disappear. 
"You okay?" Viper asks.
You nod and slowly start to calm down. "S-sorry….. nightmares…… n-not fun…."
"It's okay, I'm here. I'll never hurt you. You know that right?"
"Y-yeah…."
"Did I hurt you in your dream?"
You nod slightly and cling to his rib cage slightly. He gasps and you just then realize that he's shirtless. Skeleton's ribs are very sensitive after all. You blush darkly and roll off him.
"S-sorry! I didn't realize!" You duck your head and see your shirt. Oh shit. Was it like this the whole time?? You fix it quickly. 
"W-well it looks like you've calmed down. I'm gonna go back to bed." He starts to get up and you panic. 
"No!" You hug him again and hook your fingers around ribs again. He gasps yet again and moans softly.
"(N-N/N)... w-what are you doing?" He asks with a dark blue blush on his face.
"Don't go….. please…… just stay…." you press your face into his left shoulder blade hoping he'll say yes.
"O-okay just easy on the ribs." 
You ease your grip on him and slide your hands off of him. He turns and pulls your blankets down. 
"In you go." You giggle slightly and get in. He slides in next to you and you cuddle up to him.
"Night, Viper…. Thank you for everything…." you say as you start to fall back asleep with your head on his collarbone.
"Night, (N/N), sweet dreams,  princess." You faintly hear him say before you're out like a light.
