Chapter 39: Arrested and Confessed

They were interrupted by the loud noise outside and Taehyung was just confusedly standing in front of his hyung.

"Jeon Jungkook, open this door! Don't try to escape! The police surrounded you!"

The mint-haired boy's eyes widened when he heard the police outside and surely they were surrounded right now because he can hear the helicopter above him.

He checked the basket near the door where he put his used clothes last night to look for the phone. When he saw it, he took it to check the text he send last night, and he gulped seeing it was already sent.

"What's that?"

His hyung asked grabbing the phone from him which surprised him and made him nervous.

"H-hyung, I-I can explain."

He tried to make excuse but Jungkook already read his text to the police.

"Jeon Jungkook, open up!"

This time, the knocks were loud as if they were breaking the door.

"Hyung, please li--"

"Shit, Jungkook, what's now?" The mullet-haired Jin asked anxiously.

"There's no way we can escape from them, I've checked the area and they were all over us." Namjoon uttered.

"They will kill us if we attempt to do that." Hoseok appeared behind Namjoon.

"Why does this has to happen? The broker told me we can escape today it was ruined." Jimin grumbled under his breath.

"What are we going to do now, Jungkook? Should we kill them all or surrender?" Yoongi inquired picking up his ear.

No, there's no way they can kill them. It will be vice versa if they even attempt to escape.

"We have enough equipment, we can kill them." Jungkook said breaking the phone.

"Are you sure about that? I mean, I'm not complaining but if we used them, we don't have enough if we are far from them." Namjoon stated.

"It's better to try than to die here without doing anything with those guns." Jungkook uttered.

"H-hyung, please just surrender y-you can't defeat them." Taehyung begged, holding his hyung's left arm.

The older glanced at Taehyung's hands on his arm and his eyes.

"You dare to speak as if it's not your fault." Jin mocked.

"Please hyung, I-I don't want something to happen to you. Just surrender, this will get worst if you even succeeded to run away from them. Please hyung." Taehyung cried tightening his grip on Jungkook's arm hoping he would listen to him.

They all flinched when the door was now broken and the police came with guns pointing at them.

"All of you, put your hands up!" The police wearing a black uniforms yelled while in their defensive position.

"H-hyung, please do this for me. I-I don't want to lose you too, hyung." Taehyung sobbed scaredly.

Jungkook pushed the younger boy's hands on his arm but not in a rude way. He nods at his friends and they all sighed in defeat putting their hands up.

"Kneel down and hands behind your head!" The police were making sure they were surrendering.

The 6 boys obeyed what the police told them and the police came starting to handcuff their hands.

"You're safe now, Mr. Kim Taehyung."

The mint-haired boy smiled faintly and worriedly looked at his hyung that was being dragged away.

"Please come with us, your father was waiting for you outside."

Taehyung nods his head and followed the police.

When they were outside, he saw his father in the wheelchair worriedly waiting for him. He ran to his father, kneeling down on the ground, and hugged him.

"Appa" He cried out.

Seo-joon hugged him back tightly, missing his son so much and was so worried about him. Taehyung pulled away and looked at him with puffy teary eyes.

"Duh-don't worry, Appa, hyung did nothing to me. He was just keeping me with him and didn't hurt me." Taehyung stated.

He just wants to make sure that Seo-joon won't hate Jungkook that much, Jungkook was his son after all. Seo-joon nodded his head and smiled.

Taehyung looked at his right side and saw his hyung. The police were opening the door for him to get inside. He didn't notice that Seo-joon was typing something on his phone.

He tapped the mint-haired boy's shoulder and Taehyung looked at him. He showed his phone and Taehyung can't help but cry not in sadness but happiness. 

"Thank you, Appa" Taehyung hugged his father and ran to his hyung.

The police beside Seo-joon were about to stop Taehyung but Seo-joon stopped the police, letting his son talk with Jungkook.

Well, he just wrote was "It's okay, don't mind me, talk with him if you want. It seems like you want to tell something to him. It's better to talk to him before it's getting too late.".

Taehyung grabbed his hyung's arms stopping him from getting inside the police car.

"What are you doing here? Please leave for your safety." The police blocked him.

"Please officer, give us some time. I just want to talk with hyung. Please." Taehyung uttered but he was looking at Jungkook.

"Okay, ten minutes is enough." The police sighed and left.

"Hyung, I'm so sorry, I didn't know that my text was sent to them." Taehyung uttered biting his bottom lip.

"It's okay, you were right tho." Jungkook simply replied.

"Trust me, hyung, I-I also want to come with you to States. I already decided but I don't know that this will going to happen. I'm sorry, hyung." He explained while sniffling.

"Stop apologizing, I told you it's okay. Go away now."

Jungkook was about to get inside the police car but the mint-haired boy's grip tightened on his arm as if he was about to say something.

"Alright, speak now. What is it?" He asked looking at Taehyung.

Taehyung swallowed hard and straightly looked at his eyes.

"I-I love you, hyung, this time isn't just like a brother. I truly love you, hyung." Taehyung confessed.

Jungkook was about to speak but the younger suddenly kissed him on his lips.

"I love you so much, hyung, please don't forget that." Taehyung smiled pulling away.

"Sure" Jungkook smiled back.

He got inside the police car, looked at Taehyung while mouthing the word "I love you too"  and the police drove it away.
