"Home from school!" Andre Mayorga yelled as he got home on the last day of school. He didn't hear Nick respond, so he ran upstairs to his brother's room. As soon as Andre got there, he heard a couple quiet sobs. He opened the door and Nick jumped off his bed, crying his eyes out.
"Nick, what happened? Why are you crying?"Andre said, hugging his older brother. "My so-called best friend Adi replaced me with Joseph Sim! The backstabbing traitors!" Nick howled before bursting into tears again.
The doorbell rang and both the Mayorga brothers walked down and saw Nick's friend, Michael Rosillo, with Tal Fishman and Anthony Rivera behind him.
Andre gave Tal a glare before finally stepping aside to let them in. "Hey Nick, what's up?" Tal asked, noticing his tears. "Your stupid brother, Adi, replaced me with JoJo," Nick spat, turning away and stomping back to his room. Andre gave Tal a smack on the stomach before Michael followed Nick upstairs.
"I never want to see Adi or JoJo again!" Nick shouted, breaking down into his pillow, muffling his sobs. Tal pulled out his phone and texted Adi what Nick said. He responded, as soon as the doorbell rang, Nick came down with red, puffy eyes.
Adi ran over to Nick and immediately apologized. "Bro, it was only a prank, please forgive us," Adi begged him, shaking Nick by the shoulders. When Nick shrugged Adi's hands off his shoulders, everyone saw that Nick's eyes lost the spark and happiness that they held.
"Nick, no!" Adi yelled. Shoving Adi off Nick, Anthony Mayorga walked inside his house and wrapped both his arms around both Andre and Nick. "I think you should leave, Adi, you too Tal, Mike and Anthony can stay, but because of that prank, I think you should just let us be. So, just go." Anthony's words sounded harsher than he meant, but Adi and Tal slowly grimaced and left.
When the door closed behind them, Anthony Rivera glanced at his phone and groaned. "Guys, Cenna got sick he can't record for Free Time today, so I'm filling in for him. Honestly, Nick shouldn't get out of the house just yet to go record for Free Time," he said, as he grabbed his keys and headed out.
Nick brushed by his brothers and Michael and slowly went to the couch, falling onto it. He turned away from everyone, and lost his battle to keep from crying again. "Hey, you have a right to cry, that was a cruel prank they pulled on you, but you have us no matter what happens, Nicky," Andre said, as he found one of Nick's hands and gave it a squeeze.
