3rd Person
A boy named Jeon Wonwoo studies at the most prestigious university available in their area: Going University.
But, the problem is, it's already 7:45 AM, they have to arrive at 8:30 AM. You might ask why but, Wonwoo has a massive love for games. You might've guessed it, he slept past midnight and is still sound asleep. His twelve alarms already went off and only has one more. If he doesn't get up now, he's screwed for his first day.
The alarm went off and he didn't wake up. But the good thing is, his mom was already up. His mom knocked on the door and proceeds to wake Wonwoo up.
"Wake up, you sloth." Mrs. Jeon said as she kept moving Wonwoo.
He eventually gets up and Mrs. Jeon left his room. He looked at the time and his eyes widened. He put his things together as quick as he can not only his things for school but also the mess he made in his room for playing so much. But there is one more problem he has to face, it is 8:00 AM after he got his things together. He needs to go there as fast he can but it will took 25 minutes, 15 minutes if he took the subway there. He dashed out of his room.
He went downstairs and said goodbye to his mom, he didn't bother eating breakfast and you already know why. He went as fast as he can and ran to the subway, luckily, the subway almost left and he got in before it left. After that, he proceeded to go to the University.
Time check: 8:11 AM
Wonwoo's PoV
Crap! This is why I don't play games until 3:00 in the morning! If I'm late this first day, I will surely get a bad reputation right of the bat, considering that this is one of the most prestigious university in my hometown.
I looked through my bag quickly and found my schedule, went to scan it for my class assignment, Building 13 - 2nd Floor - Room 170.
I ran quickly to Building 13 as quick as possible, good thing it was beside me, 2 minutes left and I'm late so there's no stopping now.
A minute later...
I made it in front of the room with a minute to spare. I gasped for air and took breather. After a few seconds, I went to the room and saw the professor already at his desk.
"Great! You're just in time, please introduce yourself." The professor said. I was relieved, I thought I was actually late. I eventually went in front and started to introduce myself to the class.
"Good morning everyone, I'm Jeon Wonwoo, 96 liner, pleasure to meet everyone here." I said while my heart was beating fast due to all the running.
"Sit over there next to the tall boy, Kim Mingyu, please raise your hand to act as a guide." I nodded and headed there immediately.
I sat at the desk the professor assigned me in. The professor quickly explained everything briefly, and surprisingly, on the first day here you get out pretty early. They did say that on the first day, they'll explain everything and assign dorms for the students, as well as the lockers beside the rooms.
I quickly went to the dorm assigner and got my dorm number, Room 0717. A weird number to get but it doesn't hurt so I took it, not that I had a choice not to.
They don't let you out until 12 PM on the first day so I still had a hour to spare. The announcement rang all over the big campus.
"Jeon Wonwoo of Class 170, please go to the principal's office for a brief moment." I got the message and quickly went to the principal's office.
5 minutes later...
I arrived at the front of the principal's office and knocked on the door. I heard a 'come in' from the principal. I opened the door and the principal greeted me.
"Good morning Mr. Jeon, please have a seat." I smiled and went to the unoccupied seat.
"What did you call me here for principal?" I asked nonchalantly. He pointed at the man next to me.
"Meet Kim Mingyu, one of the most intelligent students in the campus. He's also in the same class as yours so I thought it be a great idea to let him tour you around the campus." I nodded and saw a hand in front of me. I looked to the side and saw the hand requesting for a handshake.
I took the hand with mine and shook it. "Nice to meet you, I'm Kim Mingyu, a 97 liner. Nice to meet you Wonwoo-hyung." My eyes widened as I realized that I was older than this tall giant. "Nice to meet you as well." I said.
"So, shall we go?" I nodded and we went outside. He showed me around the campus and was talkative all throughout the tour. A smart student but you don't see a noisy one that is smart quite often. So another thing that I was shocked about him. Time went by pretty fast and before I knew it, the tour was over.
"Thanks for showing me around the campus Mingyu." I smiled at him which looked kind of awkward because he was so talk compared to me. He nodded as a response and said, "You're welcome Wonwoo-hyung." He smiled back.
"Just call me Wonwoo, it would be kind of awkward for me to be called hyung by someone who is taller than me. But you're free to use hyung if you want, it's just what I prefer." He nodded.
"Well, I'll be going now Mingyu, have a nice day." As I walked past him, I waved goodbye and so did he.
I walked on the way home since I didn't have to run this time and just walked peacefully.
25 minutes later...
I went in the house using my keys and proceeded to call mom.
"Mom! I'm back from school!" I shouted as loud as I can and my mom eventually got here. I went to the living room to sit there and rest.
"How was school, Wonwoo?"
"It went fine, I almost got late but luckily I made in time." I said with a hint of relief.
"I told you not to stay up until past midnight didn't I? Good thing I was up if I wasn't, you are dead meat there." I nodded showing that I agree.
"What time did you sleep anyway?" I felt nervous, because I knew if I told her, I'm dead for sure. I didn't have the courage to lie to her so,
"Umm, 3 AM." I felt her aura raging around her right now. She stood up and,
"What did I say about playing your games until past midnight?! You never learn do you?" Mom said while pinching my ears.
"Ow! Ow! I'm sorry! I forgot I had school this day!" I said while I winced in pain. She eventually let me go and just said,
"Good, now any news?" She said changing the subject.
"We have dorms assigned to us." Her eyes widened but it turned into a smile.
"I thought it would happen, you're in a university, you're an adult now. I already packed your things, including your precious credit card and your game consoles. Technically, your room is empty except for your desk and your bed." My eyes lit up and smiled back to mom.
"Thanks mom, I'll be missing you throughout the last 2 years of school." Her eyes teared up but held it back. "You're really a big boy now aren't you." I nodded.
"Go to sleep early now Wonwoo, you have a lot of things to do at the dorm tomorrow." I nodded and went to my room.
I fixed my bag properly this time. Until it was 6 PM, a little bit early than I was used to but, mom was right, I have a lot coming tomorrow.
