'Aria, wait up!' Bee screamed from the other side of the rollerskating rink.'Then don't bee so slow' I replied, with a smile. She looked back at me, a look across her face as if she wasn't amused but she was also insanely disappointed in my beeutiful joke. See what i did there? I'm so hilarious.
I held my hand out for her to take as she wobbled to where i was. Beatrice (Bee) had never been rollerskating before, so I offered to take her to my weekly sessions. Let's just say, Bee was absolutely terrible, which i told her.
'Well, I've never done this before! So, how do you expect me to be a pro?!' She yelled, swatting my arm. That was going to bruise later.
'Well, others who have never done this before aren't as bad as you, you're extra bad,' I replied jokingly, earning another hit to the arm. 'Hitting me won't get you to be a pro at this, will it?' Bee frowned at me, realising i was correct. So, whilst she was distracted on being angry at her dumb actions, I grabbed her forearm gently and began leading her out, so she was semi-skating. When she had finally realised she began panicking.
'Aria, that's too fast!' she said, so I slowed down, and we arrived at the balancing wall in the middle. Eventually, she relaxed a bit.
'So it wasn't so bad was it?' I asked
'Not really...' she replied, laughing at all the drama she had caused over wheels on a wooden floor. I laughed with her, then we both decided Bee could try on her own now-with me by her side off course. After a while, i went to the side for a bit off a rest and left Bee on her own, which she was fine with now. So, I got out my phone and scrolled through my messages for a bit.
A little later, I decided to go and find Bee again, and she should be pretty good by now. So, i pushed myself off the barrier to search for her. But on my way back I bumped into someone, who was pretty tall and looked around my age:
'Sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you! I wasn't looking where I was going and-' I tried to say but was cut off.
'It's fine,' The mystery man said with a smirk, and skated away. I watched him skate off, studying him carefully. I shrugged it off and went to retrieve Bee from wherever she was. Finally I caught up to her.
'Hey, do you wanna go back to the benches for a bit?' I asked. She smiled and nodded, following me afterwards. So we quickly skated over to the bench we had our bags and sat down, talking off our roller-skates and Bee went to get us drink.
'What'd you want?' she asked before leaving.
'Uh just a Raspberry lucozade, thanks,' I answered. She gave me a thumbs up and headed to the vending machines. So I got out my phone and scrolled through Instagram-waiting for Bee to return. But when I looked up, I caught eyes with the boy I had bumped into earlier- but quickly looked back at my phone in embarrassment. But he continued to look at me, I could just feel it, it's like my 6th sense or something. It was almost as if his eyes were burning holes into my skin. Bee was typically taking way too long, just to buy drinks. Like seriously?! And this always happened, she would disappear and take ages to come back in my most awkward moments.
When there were burning holes all over me, Bee decided to show up, and the burning holes cooled down and vanished from my delicate skin. I thanked Bee for the water and looked back at the boy who had previously burnt my skin. He had green eyes and dark brown hair in slight waves, which looked like he was growing it out. Next to him was a shorter boy who talked in an Irish accent, with blonde hair and I'm pretty sure he had blue eyes, but he was at an angle do I couldn't see his whole face. Then there was another boy with light brown short hair, who I found out was named Liam. I may or may not have listened to their conversation. So the blonde was Niall and the guy I had bumped in to was named Harry.
'Aria! Are you even listening to what I was saying?' Bee stated, hitting my arm.
'What did I say about hitting things Bee? It gets you no-where in life.' I simply replied, taking my eyes of the small group of boys.
'Well, whatever, when will be able to go home, I'm tired.' Bee said.
'In a bit, they have a slow session in a little, so you can practice more then,' I said, taking a sip of my drink, and avoiding eye contact so she knew that I was annoyed. Bee wasn't the best at thinking before doing, and she's lucky she still has me. She pissed off all of her other friends from school, except me and Jack, but Jack stayed at home today for some reason.
She sighed and we both put our roller-skates back on to get ready for the slow session. I had to help Bee up from the bench and we skated over to the rink once again. She went off on her own after she knew I was slightly annoyed at her- so I had to follow up behind her to make sure nothing happened. What if she had a serious fall? Exactly.
I feel Harry eyeing me again, he wasn't too far away. And with his friends-even worse. They could easily kidnap me, I wasn't exactly the strongest, in fact probably the weakest in my whole class. Probably the whole entire world. I bet. How much should we bet?
Anyways, me and Bee skated around until the session ended and we sat down on the benches again, just scrolling through Instagram and our other social media's.
'When did you say your dad was picking up?' Bee asked, trying to start a conversation.
'Around 20 minutes, why?' I replied.
'Uhm, just wondered. Wanna make cookies when we get back?' she said
'Sure.' I mumbled, as I was trying to find the strange boys' Instagram. Finally, I had found it. I had given up on searching and just used my scanner on them when they weren't looking-which I had to do a few times. Then my phone rang.
'Hello?' I asked. It was my dad: he was nearby, but in a bit of traffic. I said Okay and told Bee. We then both headed outside, and waited for him to come. I decided to follow all the boys on Instagram, then saw them walking out of the entrance all staring at their phones and talking. Maybe they had realised.
'I'm CoLd!' Bee shivered.
'Well, you should've brought a coat then!' I said, realising I was getting cold too.
'Well, you didn't bring a coat either!' Bee argued.
'Because I don' get cold,' I lied. After that she stayed silent, usually I won our small, stupid arguments. I put my hands in my back pockets, just to warm them up a bit. But then I felt something in my back pocket, a small slip of folded plain paper. I took it out and starred at it.
Three phones numbers.
