Chapter 1:Lily&Severus-NewFriends

3rd perspective
"Hi, my name's Lily Evans! Aren't you our neighbour?" The black haired seven year old nodded. "Uh, yeah. My name's Severus Snape. Sorry about you're sister." Lily Evans nodded, "Yeah, her names Petunia." Lily Evans looked sadly at the direction to her house. She asked Severus Snape something that has been bothering her, "Do you think I'm a freak?" Severus Snape laughed, "No, if you're a freak, then I am a bigger one. And we're not freaks, we're magical."
Lily's face lit up, "Magical! You're a wizard! And I'm a witch! Are there more?" Severus nodded, "Way more." Being a new friend, Severus told Lily all about the Wizarding world, and of course, Hogwarts. Lily was so fascinated in this world, she couldn't wait until her Hogwarts letter. Lily asked Severus, "Does it matter what blood you are? Is one better than the other? Like how I'm muggle-born and you're halfblood?" Severus thought for a moment.
"No it doesn't matter. And we're all equal. I think it depends on how determined you are." Lily made lilies spread the field like a wildfire, "Well Severus, I'm determined, very." Severus smiled, " I bet you are." They both giggled. Enjoying the warm summer day, under the willow tree, up the hill, with the coolness of the lake blowing in to them from the nice, lazy breeze.

4 Years Later

1st Person-Lily

Mom called from the bottom of the stairwell , "Lily! Do you have your robes ready? Your trunk? How about your school books and cat?" I ran down the stairs, "Yes mum!" I ran to my mum, "Mum are you driving me to King's Cross station?"
She nodded, "Yes dear, are you ready?" I nodded eagerly. "Yes mum. Now can we go?" Mum nodded. I quickly rushed out of the house. My mum offered to also drive Severus, we quickly said yes.
Mum looked at Severus, "Ready dear!" Severus nodded, "Yes Mrs. Evans." With that we went off to King's Cross. Platform Nine and three quarters.
"Severus, have you ever been to Platform nine and three quarters?" Severus nodded, "It's quite nice. It's exactly between platforms Nine and Ten. You have to run into a barrier type thing, but make sure any muggles don't see, that'll cause trouble." I nodded, then I thought. "I can't wait until we get to meet new people, it'll be fun!"
Severus only shrugged. After a moment or two he said, "Lily, you can't trust everyone you know. Not everyone has good intentions, not everyone is good. This world is far from good. You can't run around giving everyone high-fives. You think your world is so bad, the crimes are only a joke, compared to the Wizarding world. Okay?"
Why? Why, those kids are just like us, plus I want going to this new world the best thing in my life, just imagine all the magic! "Well Severus, I really want to meet others. Oh, maybe we can have a friend group! A good one though, one that we have fun and look out for each other, and maybe bend a couple of school rules. And we can go beyond our limits! Get out of our comfort zones!" Severus looked at me, "I don't think that'll be smart."
I shrugged, "Well, you don't know. I-I just want to explore and have fun. I don't know this world, so I just really want to see what's it about, also I just want to make friends." Severus looked at me skeptically, "More friends, more drama. Do you really want that? What if they turn their backs on you!Plus, you have me, isn't that enough?"
I smiled, "Sev, of course you are, but how can you be so negative? Plus, I trust people. I think most people have good intentions. Most are just misunderstood." Sev shook his head, "If only Lily. If only." When we arrived at King's Cross, I quickly grabbed my trunk and my cat carrier. Sev and I took off to Platform Nine and Three quarters.
The barrier was a brick wall! But not really! We could go through it. Seeing all the families saying god bye to their kids, and watching them one by one board Hogwarts express. I looked behind me and saw mum hurrying.
"Okay sweetheart, be safe, tell me everything when you get back. Have fun, make plenty of friends. I love you so much!" She squeezed me tightly. I hugged her back, "Love you too mum!"
As soon as she let go of me a couple came up. The woman spoke, "Hi sorry to interrupt, my name is Euphemia Potter. This is my husband Fleamont." Mum shook her hand, "Hi." I spaced out. "Yeah Lily, she's going to her first year." "Oh, my son James is too!" My mum and Mrs. Potter were talking. Mrs. and Mr. Potter seemed really nice.
Mrs. Potter gave me five galleons. Which is so nice! I kept on refusing, but she told me I'd need it. I said thanks shyly. She also told me she has a son named James, my year. Showed me where he was sitting. Ooh, maybe I could make another friend! I quickly got on the train with Severus tailing behind me.
I saw that James Potter, he was sitting by three other boys.
"Hi, I'm Lily Evans!" I said bubbly. A boy immediately jumped up, "Hi James Potter, nice to meet you Lily!" I shook his hand. Another boy spoke, "Sirius Black." I looked over at Sirius, "Nice to meet you Sirius!" Sirius smiled at me, "You too Lily." The boy with scars said, "Remus Lupin. Nice to meet you."
I said to him, "You too Remus."
Then the last boy quietly said, "Peter Pettigrew." I waved at Peter, "Nice to meet you Peter." He nodded shyly. I looker back at James, for some reason, he was still standing in front of me. I asked curiously, "What blood are you? I'm muggle-born." Sev snapped at me, "Lils, you cant go around asking what blood people are, you just don't do that!"
Now I feel bad, "I'm-." James stopped me, "Hey, that fine Lily. I don't care, and i'm Pure Blood. But I don't care." Sirius nodded, "Yeah me neither. I'm pure though." I nodded. Peter spoke, "I'm pure." Remus spoke, "Half." I nodded, "Cool! I think.." James smiled, "You can sit with us if you'd like. Plenty of room." I looked back at Sev.
He grabbed my arm, "Lily let's go. Get away from him. He might have what muggles call it head lice. He doesn't even know how to brush his hair." I glared at Sev, "Sev, that was rude! Don't say that!" James and Sirius said together, "Says the one who doesn't even know how to take a shower!" I looked back between them. Sev pulled out his wand, about to do something.
James did the same. I pulled out my wand... I know a good one. "Expelliarmus! Don't do that!" Sev looked at me betrayed. I looked at James, he was looking at Sev. Sirius was holding his wand too, so Peter and Remus. I looked at the two wands I caught. It actually worked! I cant wait to tell mum and dad!
"Please, don't fight. Sev apologize, now."
He shook his head, "I'm not." "I am not giving you a choice, now do it." He rolled his eyes, "Lily, what did I tell you? Life here USN't all sunshine and rain bows, you cant trust everyone." "Sev! You don't have to always be so negative. Fine James, please apologize to Severus." He looked at me, "Fine" looked back at Severus, "i'm sorry Snivelious. Can I have my wand back?" I gave him his wand. "See? Was that hard?" James nodded.
"Yes Lily, very. Now leave Snevilious."Sev glared at him. "Gladly. Are you coming Lily." I thought about it. "No, I might stay here... If I am welcomed..."He shook his head, "I'm not." "I am not giving you a choice, now do it." He rolled his eyes, "Lily, what did I tell you? Life here USN't all sunshine and rain bows, you cant trust everyone." "Sev! You don't have to always be so negative. Fine James, please apologize to Severus." He looked at me, "Fine" looked back at Severus, "i'm sorry Snivelious. Can I have my wand back?" I gave him his wand. "See? Was that hard?" James nodded.
"Yes Lily, very. Now leave Snevilious."Sev glared at him. "Gladly. Are you coming Lily." I thought about it. "No, I might stay here... If I am welcomed..." I looked at the boys. I really want to meet others. The boys nodded. James looked at me and smiled, "Lily, you're always going to be welcomed with us." I smiled, "Always Potter?" I looked at the boys. I really want to meet others. The boys nodded. James looked at me and smiled, "Lily, you're always going to be welcomed with us." I smiled, "Always Potter?" James nodded his head. I smiled. James said,
"Until the very end Evans."
